Just run left. Break servitor bond and shoot as many rockets as you can. Then circle around and hide in that room beneath the raised platform on the other side. Spread out so the sword captain that spawns down there and/or skolas's cannon can't wipe everyone at once. All you have to do is clear ads (they don't come in the room), watch Skolas's fire and move if he shoots at you, and kill the sword captain that comes from one of those side doors each time ads spawn.
Once I tried this strat, Skolas got way easier.
I have run multiple times pretty much every week. 15 or so clears now and have my exotics, void scout, arc pulse, and solar hand cannon. Skolas is a cute little guy once you get to know him. My team and I actually like the fight more now post burn.

Good reply - thanks! My team will try this strategy as well.

Edited by SwabThePoopDeck: 6/26/2015 11:53:52 PMThe mines are a little tricky, but what we do is: Get Skolas close to 50% (just before mines spawn). Clear out all the ads and make sure the team has full rockets. Wait until the hunter gets Skolas’s taint and then nuke Skolas with everything you have. Have someone take the taint from the hunter as he crouches to go invis. When the first mine spawns, hunter runs over to it. Right as the invis runs out, melee the mine. This activates the blink strike and the hunter will go invis again. Hunter runs to the second mine and crouches so he will go invis again when the blink invis runs out. Hunter activates super with vanish and runs to last mine. Don’t forget to activate vanish again right as the super is running out to get extra time. Then the Hunter just makes their way back to the team. Usually the timing works out where it is just about time for the Hunter to take the taint back. It really doesn’t matter if one guardian in the room dies to the taint though, because when the hunter is back neither player should be immune. Get Skolas close to 25% and repeat…

Makes it waaaaayyyy easier. The only thing difficult is the lightswitch with the captain. Best if someone keeps on Fang (or another weapon with 3rd eye). As soon as they see the side of their radar light up, they have to call it and all three people need to focus on that damn captain or he will slice shit up.

Great info, thank you.

You'll beat him for sure with that strat. That said, this week is the toughest modifiers since HOW dropped. The small arms makes your rockets weak and the lightswitch make the captain so OP.
