Know what's really sad... I loaded up my Gears of War 1 on the 360 to get use to the shooting controls again... I was playing a bit of the campaign and I swear there are parts of it that look bigger and more epic than Destiny. Really, all the underground stuff in Gears, massive areas and Gears is like 10 years old.

It really holds up and was one of the reasons I'm considering getting an xbox one, the gears remaster and Gears 4. I really forgot how big that game was. Oh and I just love the Gears 1, 2 and 3 multiplay to death... Some of the most fun I've had in multiplayer was Gears.

You can't go wrong with three but if you're not use to the controls, give it time, takes some getting use to till you get comfortable. Did you play gears 1? Anyway, gears is a very liner game but man it's fun.
