I have been playing Elder scrolls online and although I have never played a game like that before, I am impressed with the amount of support they have. That is a real open world with servers to support it. In addition they constantly are working on maintaining the game.
Also raids consist of multiple people and there are more than one and a half raids per year.

I very briefly played the beta. Played WoW for years, may have to check out ESO, wasn't a big skyrim fan but loved Morrowind and Oblivion

Worth giving it a try if you have friends to play with. Mine are helping me out since they are level 20+ and I'm only at 10. There are puzzles in the game as well as story.
