My KD is no better, but I still find myself beating Thorn 90% of the time. I die to vex, red death and shotguns mostly and often, almost never Thorn.

If you can beat thorn you should have positive kd since over half the people are using it.

Not really, I don't get that many kills, more assists as I'm not overly efficient
