Good post, and spot on. I agree with you. Way I see it if people are happy playing this and thinking its awesome then let them, if they want to pay for content that they think is new and is a completely over priced scam then let them, its their money and none of my business. What is telling is how they try to compare the price of DLC to a steak that lasts half an hour, or a trip to the movies. Notice how they never compare DLC to Dlc for instance, because deep down they know its crap value but they are on the hook. You cant convince these people, they are hooked and like a junkie whose best friend and worst enemy is their dealer Activision and Bungie are their dealers, and they wont go against their dealer. They are blind to the non story, the nonsensical storyline of "Oh no, look you've hacked off Crota's Dad .. Run Guardian !!", there is no story in this game. Its just a repetitive horde mode based on an RNG wheel. Same format for everything. The same people sitting thinking Destiny is awesome are the same ones who sit at one armed bandits pumping money into them, there is no hope for them. Destiny is good for about an hour a week to do the Nightfall, heroic and bounties, anymore than that and you're just a hamster in a wheel repeating things over and over. Bungie and Activision will get no more of my money, thats OUR power. Give them nothing. Its the only way to get our message across. I took the money I had saved on my PSN account and bought Middle Earth : Shadow of Mordor with the extra DLC included and if anyone says to me that The Taken King is better value than that then they are deluded quite frankly. Been playing it for a day or so and its brilliant, large open world with lots to do, at least 40 hours of DIFFERENT things to do. In Destiny we are still being fed the same bounties we had when the game launched. Lots of great games coming out worthy of your money, I'm looking forward to Nathan Drake Collection, Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, Star Wars Battlefront and next year Uncharted 4. I will still play Destiny occasionally until September, but once TTK comes out and I will be shut out of things like Nightfalls etc etc because I wont buy their recycled dross it will be finished for me.

You want us to compare DLC to DLC? Ok.
Take a look at CoD, or literally any other big game out there.
• Are you depressed? You sound depressed. Are you upset that you played 19 days on this game? I don't get it.

  • You're completely right it Is an addiction and Bungie know how to make a good hook! Between December and April I was clean and thoroughly enjoyed playing the MCC. Then one day I fired up destiny and fell straight back on the hamster wheel, and the truth is I don't know why? I gave up smoking for two years then started again against all my better judgement for no reason whatsoever! Destiny is just like the mouse in the maze with the piece of food at the end, run the maze and get a reward then keep doing it over and over again until you get the reward you want. The expansions/ dlc is our visit to our pusher to get the next fix. The gameplay and graphics are good but the whole design is made to appeal to people with addictive personalities. Let's say a new player buys the legendary package and plays from level 1 to the new level cap they can achieve everything in a couple of weeks. I think I will hold off on the Taken King and subsequent dlc until the price matches what I think the true value is. If you enjoy the game then that's great but recognise it for what it is, Bungie want to keep you in their Casino!

  • Sooooo true. It's a shame that people still offer companies like these their money even though by doing that, they are -blam!-ing themselves and everyone else. The only change we can get is if we refuse to offer them any money at all. This would force them to put actual meaningful content back on the table.
