DLC Price -This will piss you off
If you've been playing since day 1:
You paid $60 for destiny
You paid $40 for both DLC 1&2
Now, They want another $40 for The Taken King.
That's at least $140 Invested to keep playing for longtime players.
The NEW Collectors edition includes:
Destiny
Crotas End
HOW
Taken King
All For $80 bucks.
So after grinding for 9 months now, they are not giving us anything extra for what we've done. At least some extra exclusive stuff. Wtf. They are clearly losing players big-time so they are screwing us and trying to grab new ones.

Its seriously -blam!-ed to offer the same content & expect longtime players to keep playing and invest $100+ for the same crap. This PROVES Destiny will never get any better. They will just keep re releasing old stuff.
*Bump if you think day 1 players should get extras. Ideas? I would like to say I'd buy the DLC but it looks terrible in my opinion. Prove me wrong

Edit: There is in fact a Shader, an Emblem and Sparrow for 1 year players that I just found out about. You can all decide if that's fair or not in your own eyes. However I will not be buying the DLC, I will be moving on to great next-gen games Like Arkham Knight and Battlefront.

Shader, emblem, sparrow [u]and more[/u]. Also games get cheaper, I have never seen anyone get mad because a game they bought on launch day sold cheaper a year later outside of these forums. It makes no sense.

I buy a new iphone every 2 years, but 12 months later they release the S variant to that model thus bringing my original price of my iphone down. So people can buy the iphone I bought 12 months earlier for less money. This is how it works for Cars, TV's etc. they get cheaper as they get older! Have you been living under a rock or something? This is how the world works

Clearly your a kid and don't understand the concept of depreciation. If you buy a car and wait a year will the car be worth more or less?

5 Replies...entitled? 1. Vanilla weapons (devil you know, shadow price. 2. Perks (sniper final round. Lmg field scout. Fusions armor piercing) 3. Players who purchased TDB and HoW will be given a veteran package (sparrow. Shader, class item) 4. Depreciation: Destiny new = $60. Now $30 TDB new = $20. TDB - weapons = $10 Same with how. People just joining the game dont have access to the same items that long term players have. The whole package is valued at less because it has less content... plus its old.

I have a big problem with this as well. I dropped $100 already on this game, and all I got was a half done campaign with a couple raids and some strikes. Everything became repetitive because of the lack of diversity in gameplay. Then with the DLC that's about to come out, if I want all of the content, then I have to buy all of this other stuff? It's not too fair, I'm pissed that we the players are being screwed again with this game. And the worst part is that I'm going to buy this because this is the only game I really am slightly interested in.

"Depreciation" you idiot after all Destiny will have been out for a year by the time it comes out. I mean both dlcs won't be a year old but depreciation causes them to go down. Let's compare two games with big companies and a shit ton of dlc. Bf4- been out since Oct. 2013, you can buy the game and the premium at ,for example, Walmart for $74. Destiny- hasn't been out a year. But in Sept. 2015 all the dlcs, some new content, and of course the original game will be available to you guardian for the price of only $80.

You know that WoW does something similar. Once a new expansion comes out all the previous expansions are given to players who didn't buy them for free.

according to this website in my screenshot http://imgur.com/trSbUmJ both dlcs and the full game are free for me on ps4.... But Im not sure about the Taken King..i dont want to have to buy it twice, but it doesnt mention it gives you the ps4 version like the TDB and HoW pages did... Id like to know if The Taken King will transfer to next gen like the past 2 dlc will. Im a ps3 player and wont have ps4 until christmas. Everything including the game so far will transfer (I got the game on October digitally). Will TTK transfer as well or do I have to buy or twice (September for ps3 and December when I get ps4) Also if it doesn't transfer what would happen to the subclasses and the armor/ weapons along with light level I played up to and earned while playing on ps3 when I switch? Would it disappear? Would I be locked out until I fork over another 40 dollars? Or will it just transfer That is what concerns me price wise
