Red Death? It competes, yea. However, you have to hit headshots. They're vital.
Nope. MIDA is good, but it's not in the same tier as Red Death, The Last Word, Thorn, Hawkmoon and Vex Mythoclast. Ultimately, you'd have to be facing a pretty poorly skilled enemy for MIDA to compete with Thorn.
Vision of Confluence? No. Come on. Vision is not better than Thorn. Barely even competes.
Vex Mythoclast definitely competes. It's not better, but it is definitely a top tier weapon.
The Osiris weapons don't compete with Thorn. Except for The Scholar. That thing appears to be amazing.

A weapon in the right hands becomes a better weapon than thorn. I agree with this list. Although, partially because I tend to excel against thorn for the most part using the first four weapons. Also I suck with hand cannons in crucible.

There's a difference between a weapon being better and a player being better with a worse weapon.

I've outgunned thorn users with voc it's all I use in ib and I'm not even good at pvp you can check stats if you want lol

No in fact I didn't. A Thorn in an un-skilled player's hand is no match for the same weapon in a skilled player's hand, to say otherwise is 100% idiotic. Therefore it's NOT the weapon, it's the player. A gun doesn't make a player good, the player makes the gun good. If you can't see that then you need some serious mental help.

That's not the point. A weapon is still good if the person wielding it is bad. Players do not make the gun good. Thorn is an extremely powerful weapon.

But it could crit for 1000 damage - if the person using it can't score a head shot then it's pointless. The fact that you guys can't intelligently recognize and acknowledge this is mind boggling.

Mediocre players perform really well with Thorn. Why? It's easy to use and extremely powerful. Those same players are garbage with other guns. /thread

The gun is as good as the person using it. Period. A race car is only as good as the driver. Period. A golf club is only as good as the person swinging it. Period. Ad nauseam. Picking up a Thorn does not instantly make you a good or even mediocre player. Get over it.

You're right. A car with 1200HP isn't already fast. A perfectly balanced club is no better than a Walmart golf club. You're an idiot. You're wrong. Thorn is extremely powerful and it is extremely easy to use, which is why everyone and their grandmother uses it. Ease of use is extremely important in weapon choice. You could suck with Red Death, but does that make it a bad gun? Nope. Red Death is a great gun. You just suck with it. Statistically speaking, Thorn is extremely powerful. It's a good gun. Not a chance.[/quote] no but the only time I die from thorn is if I'm shot from the side/back where I don't have enough time to turn around to kill since its 2 shots over 3-4 with voc...never really said it was better just said it's easily outgunned by voc

MIDA with dance machines and thorn can't even hit you.Same with vision,except vision is full auto.I heard the messenger is good though

A skilled Thorn user is going to be accurate, regardless of your quick movement. MIDA would be purely situational. A Thorn user will almost always get the drop on you unless you're fully anticipating his shots, which is highly unlikely.
