Once you have gone flawless on a character, or all 3, is there any point visiting the lighthouse again? Can the big chest be opened more than once per character?
If not then why would you bother to keep competing in the trials, and if you can open it, then maybe it should be on a reset like other weekly events?

I was thinking there should be a second tier of trials for once you have gone flawless. That way the less skilled can have a go with an increased chance of getting some reward. Threshold to get rewards would be the same but without the very good players would be more likely achieved.

That's the point, the really good players keep playing mostly to stop other people from getting the same nice things they do. It's the same attitude we've seen forever, "I don't want people to have the nice things I have because this is my only source of self worth and without it I am worthless and might actually have to get out of my mother's bed and make something of myself" It's sad really, but not unexpected, PvP communities are known for generally being extremely toxic. They're like a bunch of 4chan'rs.

I do it multiple times after going flawless on all three characters because 1)my other friends need a good teamm8 2)shader, class item, watcher gear, ship 3)its fun as hell

It's on a weekly reset, Trials is by far the funnest and most intense pvp gametype, and sometimes I have friends that need a third so I oblige.

It resets everytime trials resets, I'm only trying to get there now to get a void scout rifle and solar hand cannon, I've had the pulse rifle and auto rifle drop 3 times each ha otherwise I really wouldn't care as you get the better rewards from packages (armor with 1 extra ability sans chest armor)

I dont play the trials for the light house, I play it because of the skill and teamwork that you need to play well which for me, is the funnest part of Destiny

I've seen that. There are guys on LFG that are trying to make a hilarious dollar off of that. Earlier they were selling Flawless Raider runs. Just insane.

It's ridiculous! I think that once you reach flawless to then that character needs to be locked out for the week.

Chest is on a reset. I've already completed it once last week, so idk if I'll go back through it this week. Only reason I am now is for the elemental primary.
