People need to stop complaining about the lighthouse and focus on the real issue: PoE is stingy with rewards and those rewards are mostly subpar. Couple that with the fact that PoE takes longer to clear and doesn't stack rewards like HM raids and you're left with a mess.
PvP finally has good rewards and that's a good thing. But it seems like the team that designed the rewards for PoE missed that particular memo.

They really crapped up PoE on that aspect.

You can get element primary's from POE...

Edited by Mister Nice Guy: 6/2/2015 7:10:05 PMI think you missed his point, despite it being from a rare RNG chance from killing Skolas. Nobody said it isn't. 1. The time invested getting respective rewards on ToO supersedes that as the time invested for getting the respective rewards on PoE 2. Why would you want elemental primaries for PvP? 3. ^ Why would anyone want to go full strength (what Variks sells thus far) for PvE? 4. Some players do both, it still doesn't mean PoE's reward for invested time isn't lackluster and greatly RNG'zy; even raids have been more rewarding and easier to complete in the past. To recap:
People need to stop complaining about the lighthouse and focus on the real issue: PoE is stingy with rewards and those rewards are mostly subpar.
Even if you play and succeed in both (we have enough hybrid players), groveman has a point.

You can run PoE as many times as you like for the chance (however slim) of an elemental primary or an elder cypher
-
Edited by Mister Nice Guy: 6/2/2015 3:31:38 PMI thought you only had one chance a week (one Skolas kill), at PoE 35 only. Is this ("farming") confirmed?
It's still quite the time sink for a single chance, though, not gonna lie.
-
Can't say for sure as I've only ever done it 3x a week so unconfirmed. I came to the conclusion that you could due to fact you can open the chest as often as you provided you have the keys, why couldn't skolas drop a cypher/weapon on any run..
-
Edited by Spiku: 6/2/2015 2:21:59 PMNope you cant!!! you have to run it on the hardest level!!!! Unlike ToO where you run it once and you get so much gear you dont need to run it again!
-
Space it out over a week and you could get plenty of35 runs done, providing you and your fire teams up to scratch.. Easier said than done I guess
-
That's not the point is it. Its not about I'm better than you... take the personal element out of the equasion. Person A does the PoE he will get 2 light and 2 cores of each. Person A then does the ToO he will get 4 lights, a gun, a piece of gear and more... Do you see my point now?
-
Edited by joybelle: 6/2/2015 5:54:25 PMYour also assuming that person A can get 9-0 or at least to rewards level in trials, person A might go 0-3 all day and then it's as big a time sink as PoE
-
I agree the rewards are stingy for PoE but my point still stands.
-
Edited by Spiku: 6/3/2015 9:13:54 AMIf your point is that Hardcore/High level gamers wont have to much of a hard time grinding PoE and getting the gear they need to upgrade, then yes your point is totally valid :) But I dont think this is what the post is about...
-
I agree the rewards are stingy for PoE
That was the premise of Groveman's post...idk why people keep trying to make different points. It's not that the lighthouse is unfair, it's that PoE's rewards kind of suck. Lighthouse is fine.

I barely have time to run it once each level.

Fair enough, once a week is enough for me too
