Just like RobbinDaHood and others have said, We. Do. Not. Pray. To. Anyone. But. God. We just Ask the other entities to go to God on our behalf.

  • By admitting they are a deity you are admitting to idolatry. No offense bro, just pointing it out.

  • Ok but why not just pray to God? I don't see the point in praying to others when you have God and Jesus 24/7. It's not like Mary's opinion of you will sway God to let you in to heaven

Given the fact that Mary was the only Himan being born without original sin(except Jesus), and that she gave birth to God's only son, she's a rather important biblical figure. And as for the saints, the process of being named a saint of [insert field here] is a religious rite that God himself laid the foundation for.

  • Where does it say she was born without sin? (Genuinely curious) and even if she did give birth to Jesus, she's still a human being that needs to be saved herself, her opinion couldn't possibly away God when He's the almighty and final judge and jury. Why would He listen to a biased human he created? Finally, I'm not aware of the process of someone becoming a saint, can you post a biblical quote about it?

  • It is stated in Catholicism that only a person born without sin would be able to give birth to Jesus. As far as how they would sway God's judgement, they are taking the request from us to him, like passing a note.

  • In Catholicism yes, I'm asking where in the Bible. Ok so if it's like passing a note why not just hand it to God himself?

It is hard to explain catholic intentions with our so called "praying" As far as bible passage, I'll get back to you on that. Edit: I do thank you for respecting my opinions and not completely disregarding them and hating me because I'm Catholic.

No problem bro, only way to convince someone is to be nice anyway. And as a Christian, we are supposed to be nice and loving to everyone. I will warn you, I agree with SCG or whatever his name is on all of this, I'm just trying to understand your reasoning is all. Thanks for not freaking out like some people :)
