And mad props to everyone here

Where to begin, how bout my name.
1) this game feels like it is still in the beta test stage
(Fragmented story, undeveloped characters, constant retweeks, oddly empty planets and social hubs)
edit:
1.1) Game clearly was cut in half to satisfy an artificial timeline (10 years?!). Oryx ship is the chopped up remains of crotas end. Let that sink in if you were unaware.
1.2) Auto Rifle Buff https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/112475070/0/0
2) weak servers that have trouble keeping players in game with out getting a zoo of animal error codes, PvP matches with such bad lag that players could melee from across the room.
3) under developed worlds, no difference in gravity, atmosphere or weather (yeah the sky changes but there are never any storms that effect the surface).
4) underwhelming pve battles, (about as challenging as shitting while seated)
5) an "open-world" that is hardly open and mostly locked
6) telling people you can "go anywhere you can see" then turning around in the beginning and walking 5ft before falling off a cliff, proving you can't.
7)having PvP vendors sell weapons and armor that don't make the slightest difference in crucible any way (because only impact matters lol)
8)the weakest dlc content ever, might as well call it "5 mins of extra game play"
9) create crap material and selling it to the public as more than it is, you started with vault of glass then made crotas end which wasnt even half the size, now you got prison of elders which is even smaller. Great plan, people hate you cause dark below was to small, so lets make a smaller event
10) every sparrow looks exactly the same slapping a different paint job on something doesn't make it different, at least give us something to use sparrows for like racing or something.
This one is important
11)wasting time on dumb projects like the purple ball or adding 42 brand spanking new ships WE CANT EVEN USE SHIPS BUT YOU ADDED MORE OF THEM THAN ANYTHING ELSE
12) focusing time on bad development ideas instead of focusing on ways to increase game play
13) effectively shitting on the players who got a season pass especially with the taken king dumb emotes
14) building the game for 10 year olds but marketing it to older crowds
15) also advertised players could play however they want but constant redundant nerfs force limited weapon choice (pulse rifle and shotgun)
16)NO optional MM for any of the current end-game activities or optional MM for almost all of the game.
17) how many months in the game and still no grimoire in the game, only hardcore fanboys would go to the website to read nonsensical unorganized "info" cards
18) forcing players to make their own connection between different cards, keep the majority from reaching a complete consensus on any aspect of a story
19)no skip button, no explanation needed.
20)"Severely limited gear variety: Literally everything from weapons to ships are just re-skins of the same model. "
21)"Pointless Factions: There is zero motivation given for joining anyone aside from liking their weapons or armor color scheme. Actually, I'll expand this to pointless NPCs. Everyone is pretty much a gear vendor in this game. "
22)"Terrible UI: I don't have a mouse so why do I have to drag a cursor around to select things
23)antisocial social area..the tower holds 16 but the reef really only holds around 10. Also need a way to build teams in the tower based on activity would remove the need for matchmaking. A posting board or something.
24) no voting options for PvP or Vanguard strike playlist
25) plethora of RNG animal error codes
26) incredibly repetitive, face it fanboys!
27)almost no fixes to the raid glitches, only the cheeses
28) poor map design: twilight gap, rusted land and blind watch have basically the same blueprint with a couple of walls built or destroyed .. All cqc choke point with one long sighted choke point.
29) very poor weapon balance concept: the autorifle Nerf or bungie's genius idea to make a three round burst pulse rifle a mid-range "king" which completely over shadows the semi auto at long range and the autorifle at close.
30) selling a dlc which is just a strike or mission map run backwards which is a con job in a nutshell
Other players thoughts
31)no in game audio or video grimoire(so how much did you pay those voice actors and for how many mins of audio)

Making one of the hardest parts of the game reward you with crappy upgrade materials that you get just for doing a public event
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/126367080/0/0
Skip button. No point in listening to the super vague boring story cutscenes more than once. no point in watching it the first time. If I wanted to hear characters tell me "you're gonna see a lot of things u won't understand, I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain, or I would tell u, but I won't,".

1)nerf the GOOD weapons NEEDED for balanced the PvP..
2)NO dedicate server for each country
3)You dont need to do all the missions for finish the game, but just 4/5
4)huge lag and hackers

how the game was marketed versus how it was actually built. I definitely identify with feeling shafted as someone who preordered the Limited Edition.
There is hardly anything to add that hasn't been listed, but here goes:
-Severely limited gear variety: Literally everything from weapons to ships are just re-skins of the same model.
-Pointless Factions: There is zero motivation given for joining anyone aside from liking their weapons or armor color scheme. Actually, I'll expand this to pointless NPCs. Everyone is pretty much a gear vendor in this game.
-Terribad UI: I don't have a mouse connected to my PS4; so why in Maker's name do I have to drag a cursor around to select things? Did they just ship this hot mess with the Dev Interface and call it a day?

Blatantly antisocial social area..a way to build teams in the tower based on activity would remove the need for matchmaking. A posting board or gathering point would be great...stand in area X if you want to raid..area Y for nightfalls etc.

I would be neat if like this is just an idea tho. If the tower had like your own personal space, and the foes you killed or something have you trophies. And like you can buy build places or something.

Both halo and cod games feature a voting option for the next map in lobbies. Lol none of that here. Not during roc strikes. Not even in that sad excuse of pvp they cater to.

They constantly ignore the community, never giving us a chance to voice our opinions.

it has great gun mechanics and amazing visuals but its the exact opposite with everything else. For a game taking place in solar system with many huge planets to explore it is rather small and lonely(no life besides the the few enemies we have).

Forgot the animal planet lessons, of RNG animal names.

You bring up a very interesting point... Instead of making bosses nearly damage resistant as a means of making them more difficult to beat or increasing their numbers... Have the environment make things more challenging... As you said... Atmosphere, gravity etc wouldve been wonderful to see affect gameplay

Yup. This about sums it all up. What about repetitive game play? Limited game play as well. Also, them being forceful towards people that didn't own DLCS. putting aspects of things you have to purchase into the vanilla to take away content that was with the game at release.
Edit: OH and, they still haven't fixed any glitches regarding anything. All raid glitches still remain in the game, yet they instantly fix anything that would progress a person a tad bit faster (cheesing). In that respect, it seems like they enjoy creating invisible barriers to keep people from leveling up faster. Also, not changing game breaking glitches is unforgivable. It actually breaches their contract with Activision.

All of the above +
- poor map design: twilight gap, rusted land and blind watch have basically the same blueprint with a couple of walls built or destroyed .. All cqc choke point with one long sighted choke point.
- very poor weapon balance concept: the autorifle Nerf was mathematically correct but the reason it was stupid is that bungie had the genius idea to make a three round burst a mid-range "king" which completely over shadows the semi auto at long range and the autorifle at close.
-selling a dlc which is just a strike or mission map run backwards which is a con job in a nutshell !

Great thread! Sad part is while this describes a whole lot of what's wrong, it's not everything.
My #1--Game clearly was cut in half to satisfy an artificial timeline (10 years?!). Comet is the other half of Destiny. Let that sink in if you were unaware of that...
Ill keep adding to this list, if you don't like what I said, go back to playing destiny and stay out of feedback, feedback is meant for stuff like this. If you agree or would like to add to it, leave it in the comments.

Sigh... Destiny - A game with enough potential to rival most, but took a long walk off a short cliff... and its still walking. Maybe, just maybe, when that contract is up, they will think about what they've done, and start from scratch to make things right after all of their mistakes they've made, and the mistakes to come.

1 ReplyA Bump a day keeps the fanboys away.

8 RepliesMy list of good things: - Graphics are good - Sound and music is good - Guns are good - Shooting shit is fun I think my list beats your list

I hate that when we find a cheese, which can make it more fun, yet can also be as hard (or harder,) they take it away. I hated when they took away to use the sword against the hand of crota, or that they won't let us use the enemies land craft any longer - or take it through the tunnel to use against skolas. I hate that they wouldn't let us still back Atheon off the edge, but he can do that to us. But hey! At least they didn't fix the network issues, nor have they completely fix the loss of ammo; oh, and they also left us with no way to get our synths when in a heavy battle or the ability to use more than 1 type at a time.

Bungie-- where they believe that less is more.

8 RepliesI dunno, man. It takes a lot of work to make an open world game, especially to this game in particular. If you want a space game that's really -blam!-ing open world, I suggest you go over to No Man's Sky.
Psst. It's not out yet. :3
My take on the problems with Destiny: So a patch was done to fix the lack of vault space before HoW came out and it gave us a couple extra slots, which weren't enough for the weapons and armor we already had at the time. Then came the new DLC with all the new content: new exotics, 3 new weapon sets and 2 new armor sets. But wait there's more...don't forget about all the vanguard, crucible and faction gear and armor. When you add it all up, it leaves the gamer with a total lack of space. I had to break down copies of raid and exotic weapons that I would have liked to keep in order to make space for new items. Other weapons and armor gamers would have liked to try out didn't make the cut and had to be broken down before we even got the chance to upgrade them and test them out. Some of us figured out a way to save new copies of items by keeping our inventory full on our characters and storing the new items in the mailbox after they dropped. It seemed like a good idea since you seem to have no definite roadmap for the future of Destiny and trading could possibly be introduced at some point. I can certainly understand the frustration of people not getting drops they wanted since it took me over 1800 hours to get my 1st Gjallarhorn and, of course, when the RNG god's finally smiled upon me again I wanted to keep my 2nd copy. I left it in the mailbox thinking it would be safe and waiting for when I was ready. My mistake, just like all the time I feel like I wasted playing this f#*@ing game. First, there's the most broken PvP I've ever played with lag that is completely dumbfounding in the year 2015. Next, we have the lag-switchers ruining the PvP game experience, especially in the new Trials mode where you have to win 9 matches in a row to get all the rewards. It's sooooo rewarding to get to 7 or 8 wins unblemished only to lose out because you can't even get a kill in the last match or two because of cheating. You asked us to report them and the very next weekend you match is against the very same cheaters. Getting to Mercury requires the god's to smile upon you and the stars to align perfectly, usually at ridiculously late hours on a Thursday or Monday. Then I login today (on my birthday) and notice that the extra Gjallarhorn, Fatebringer, Found Verdict and other elite items I wasted my time trying to obtain once again are nowhere to be found. I didn't take them out of my mailbox and, if had I known they would vanish, I would have broken down even more weapons I would have like to save. Then I think back to when you first talked about The Taken King DLC and how you were going to screw the year one players that had been here since the beginning and it was only because of the uproar from the Destiny community that you back-tracked and said, wait we do have a special version for you guys. Lastly, for the life of me, I don't know why Bungie continues to rake in the cash but can't seem to afford dedicated servers. Maybe it's because you just don't care, maybe Activision is pulling the strings and has your hands tied...I don't work there and I can only speculate but this is one pissed-off gamer that is about to hang up his Destiny card and find something else that won't waste my mother-f*%#ing time. I could keep going about the constant tweaking of guns, all of the disconnect problems, the friends list not showing up, Destiny disconnecting your Xbox One from the Internet and not even showing a network until you reset multiple times (even when everything other electronic in the house is functioning flawlessly), party chat not working, the pointless error codes and on and on and on. Thanks for nothing, I hope you get your shit together before you piss off your entire customer base!!!!!!

1 ReplyEdited by Kadeim: 8/20/2015 7:29:19 PMYou got a good list going. While there are a number of things that I could add, I will start with this: Weak Bonuses for Pre-ordering Terrible AI for the Enemy - when you go into an area, the enemy AI is completely lacking! The enemy is clearly fine with staying in their little area, and not coming after you. I mean, if they really wanted to wipe us out, and they are wanting to eliminate us, then why aren't they more aggressive? Why aren't they trying to flank us when we are in battle? Deej - Oh boy, I shouldn't get started, so the only thing I will say is that I feel a bit sorry for Cozmo, I don't think he really had any idea what he was getting into. Exotic boots that allow you to jump higher, but you hit a glass ceiling in the majority of the areas where you want to jump. Abhorrent pricing, not only for emotes, but for DLC content and especially for other countries. No customer service for actual technical problems. No statistical information to help us truly understand why enemy levels don't match up (or make any real sense) (IE: the level 8 (Randal the) Vandal that is harder to kill than 2 of the level 18 Knights downstairs that is across the way from him (Bunker RAS-2) Why such high level enemies are placed into areas where noobs need to go to fight enemies that are at a level they can manage. (IE: the Queen Breaker captain with no name inside of Dock 13, of course there are other places too) Edit: Ok, here is another disappointment. For the story modes, they placed fairly high levels on them, which noobs will tend to take the lowest. Why do they have multiple levels, and no rewards, if you go back to replay them? There should be something, to help incentivize people to go back and replay. And I do not mean just making a bounty that gets you to go back.

Galactic level Epic Bump!!!!!! Brother and his post is Incredible! Sadly, no one from Bungievision will even try to explain any of them. It is my opinion that they are trying to erase year one of this late term gaming abortion. While that is actually impossible, I think they are trying to apply the old adage "out of sight, out of mind" Everything from year one seems to be getting nerfed. The only thing they won't have nerf will be the story.
