I just broke up with my girlfriend.
So, title says most of it. We'd been dating a little under a year, she was with me for a trip to Canada, waited for me in Basic, Tech School, and we broke up today because I couldn't give her what she needed from a relationship. It was mutual, we sat down and talked it out, and we found that she wanted more out of it than me, but she didn't want to lose me. It ended with a joke and a laugh, so I can't complain. But I am actually very upset it had to happen.
So, please, Flood, mock me. Mock me mercilessly. Ravage my nubile and fragile self-esteem.

4 RepliesIt's better to deploy single, less on your mind, actually all around, it's better to be single in the Military. Any distractions that can be eliminated to pay attention more to the situation at hand, wether it be for training, field problems, motor pool, deployment, or whatever, get rid of them and focus on the task at hand and your buddies around you.
