Fatebringer is over hyped. It's not as good as people clutch onto it to be. And will fall off come elders when the small explosive damage tickles mobs

Then explain why one of the HoW testers (I forget who) in yesterdays PoE reveal stream used one in the NEW END-GAME ACTIVITY.

Because those guys were not that great, didn't have proper set ups, and because the fanboys wanted to see it. It's hyped. It was even the teaser image for the weapon upgrades
