I used to enjoy it but the weapon balancing update combined with the changes to ammo has created an abomination. As far as primary weapons go, it's mostly the 3 exotic Handcannons, followed by the 2 exotic pulse rifles, and lastly everything else. Then for secondary weapons it's mostly shotguns and a few snipers being used. There's such a lack of variety when it comes to weapons being used now, despite the fact that Bungie was trying to avoid that. They've just made it worse each time in my opinion. Maybe auto rifles were overused before but I don't think people really cared that much.

Agreed. I went into the very first I.B. and thought it was trash. So much trash that I didn't go back until now. This time? It's nothing but Thorn and TLW w/ Felwinters. The occasional Red Death or MIDA shows up. Even rarer than that is someone rocking an un-upgraded Suros. I'd love to use my VOC or Shadow Price. Maybe even my Three Little Words. The exotic handcannon spam got so bad tonight I seriously considered breaking out my Thorn... under the idea of "When in Rome". I do use the Red Death, but that is because I generally play as a Defender in both PvE and PvP. For I.B.? I went to Striker simply because I realized the Defender's is at an even bigger disadvantage in I.B.
