I'm NOT a fan of PvP. I would like more PvE activities. Having Etheric light drop at those ranks is clearly so more players are forced to play. I'd bet it will rarely drop in nightfall and it will NOT drop if you are doing nightfall a 2nd or 3rd or more time helping a friend just as currently you cannot get continued rewards for doing nightfalls now. It would be amazing if nightfall enemies had a chance at dropping Etheric light no matter the number of times you are playing nightfall. Many people would play more then once .... But instead Bungie will push players into the crappy lag fest blink shotgun thorn canon crucible where each match can drop Etheric light and ranks 3 and 5 drop. Sucks.
