The point here is pretty valid. Regardless of what's been said or released this is a serious fuk up to those who paid based on certain criteria being announced for expansions.
To simply say "oh, we're releasing a raid later on" is unacceptable and most likely a violation of the terms set forth (those terms hold true for the buyer & seller) when the expansion pass was purchased. If you understand contract law you'll get this part.
Personally I'm over the initial butthurt feeling but I don't like getting ripped off and that's how I feel. Paying for one thing and getting another is bullshit, don't believe me? I'll give an example:
Take my truck to get new tires which I pay 600$ total for all 4 tires, they put on 2 used and 2 new tires and say "the other 2 new tires aren't available now but will be here soon and we'll let you know"
Bungie just did the same thing as in my example. As said, regardless of all the new shit they are adding, new content and the likes it's no raid which I (and many others) expected as I was paid for it back in Oct. Its still an outright bait & switch and I give a fuk not about "it's coming later" because simply put, HoW is not what I paid for. I find people denying this fact to be obtuse and void of any intelligence, the proof is there. Fuk empty promises when money is involved and in those case it's in the millions.
Edit: if they think I'm paying for another dlc to get a raid promised they're fuking nuttier than a payday.

Edited by Shottah: 4/24/2015 10:29:56 AMYou missed a huge part in your analogy. You agreed to their terms and service which states they can change stuff at will. For your analogy to be correct you would have to go to the tire dealer ask for new tires and they say "yes we should have 4 new tires but if we dont we will just put 2 new and 2 used on for the same price, is that okay with you?" Then you agreed to it then got mad when they did it. Was it shady? Yes but completly within their rights

Yes but completly within their rights[/quote] "The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) bait and switch definition refers specifically to advertising. “Bait advertising,” the FTC explains, is an alluring but insincere offer to sell a product or service which the advertiser in truth does not intend or want to sell. Its purpose is to switch consumers from buying the advertised merchandise in order to sell something else, usually at a higher price or on a basis more advantageous to the advertiser.”

I bet you they can prove they intended to include a raid when that advertisement was used and all new advertisement since the decision to not include a raid was changed.

was going to say the exact same thing

Edit: also why I said in another post "it is illegal but it isn't". Simply put there's no real way to prove intent unless a Bungie/Activision employee comes forth with very very damning evidence.

I believe the raid was pulled for a good reason and not for just money. They never said they were charging for it yet thats just people jumping to conclusions. Even if they do charge for it if its an amazing raid in my opinion its worth it. Id happely pay more if it meant we didnt get another shitty crotas end strike.

Mainly due to Activision's involvement if I'm honest. All in all it's still my favorite game in a very long time, I'm more disappointed than I am angry. That's the bottom line I think and I believe I'm not alone in that feeling.
