Wow how many people left destiny this week is scary
Friends list playing destiny is about 1/3 of what it was a week ago and LFG is so quiet. Hope Bungie know what they are doing, looks to me they just lost a massive percentage of players.

Thanks everyone for the response, Just to clear things up i was talking about the massive drop after HoW announcement, Some have seen it also some not. I understand that the game has been out a long time and player base will always drop.
i think i agree with the points saying most people are taking a break. I think lots of people were still playing trying to get gear and level up gear for the new raid but now that isn't happening they are comfortable with the gear they have. Hopefully people are just going to wait and see what HoW really has to offer. Personally I will be running VoG a few time to try to get the weapons i dismantled when i thought they'd be stuck at 300 but not much else. IB might be worth a run if those weapons are also able to go to 365?

I noticed more people being "less active". I don't think they "quit". This all has to do with the release of new content taking too long to come out (people are getting bored) If you quit before something new happens, and you don't try it, how will you know if you like it or not? + summer is nearing

I assume IB weapons won't be... They will be awarded at the max current attack cap of each event.

1 ReplyTo be fair from ages of 13 up to nearly 22 they may have exams for school/uni, plus dlc drops soon so people have less ambition to grind now when they can play more later. A drop in players is expected.

I'm down to maybe 3 hours a week now that the weather got nice. I think HoW will be pretty fun, so I'll be back in a month.

Unfortunately that's how it is. I'm bummed out that there isn't a raid but I'm not complaining. I'll wait until HOW to judge..besides, destiny is not the only game in the world.

The ones saying nobody is leaving and there's millions playing need to get off Bungie's nutsack. If you want to talk numbers, show me numbers there's no dropoff.

2 RepliesEh I don't know if a great number of people left because of the HoW no-raid reveal (I'm guessing that's why people left?). After all the raid WILL come but later and we all know that, let's not play coy and pretend we don't. Even if they did throw a fit and left: 1. They'll come back 2. If they don't come back, good. We're getting rid of the whiny bitches little by little 3. With more content coming in, new and better people will fill up their shoes. So I say good riddance.

How many people said they were leaving or actually left? My group is still on and we're going strong. Maybe more people are realizing how much better it is to run raids with the same group each week rather than relying on randoms at lfg.

I found that I've had the most friends online this week. I have seen many more in patrols etc too.

I left around 2-3 weeks ago and haven't looked back. Destiny is an awesome game but the repetition just wears you down. I've played destiny more than I have most other games though. I don't think I'll be back for HoW though... Not with the Witcher 3 coming out the same day.

5 RepliesI don't get it I guess. I was lucky enough to stumble into a group that has raided every week, but when only 19% of the player base has even completed a raid I don't understand why anyone outside of that 19% even has anything to complain about. Fill me in Guardians.

No idea about you, the Tower hasn't be so full since TDB. All my farming spots are also busy with people.
