Destiny's lack of content will kill Destiny.
I put in over 1000 hours in the game, I have every exotic I can get on Xbox, I have all raid guns, and I heavily over prepared for HoW.
I fear that I will have nothing to do after the first two weeks of HoW.

Why would you assume I still play that much? Ignorant one. Plus, if Destiny was as great as the hype, I would be able to play this much and still have fresh content. Me playing less won't make more content appear, it will just make old content collect dust as I not play it.

Spread your game time out. Play other games at the same time. To think you wouldn't be so burnt out on the game after 1,000 hours is plain stupid. Tell me one game that you can do that with and still continue playing at that rate. Whatever game that is, if you can find one, then play that. It's like eating all of your food too quickly; it doesn't feel good when you're done with it.

Content wise, I would say this game had a good 40 hours. The rest was all grinding. Also, as I previously stated, me playing Destiny less wouldn't magically make more content appear. It doesn't matter if I played 200 hours or 1000 hours, there is lackluster content. I like the concept of the game, I just wish it was executed better.

Okay but doesn't Super Smash require a ton of playing the same thing over and over? Same with Pokemon. Both games have also been decade running franchises. Idk man. My advice to you is limit how much you play a single game simply by playing other games and you won't become so burnt out on it.

Yes, but both games have more content and a lot more you can do than Destiny. You can battle, breed, ev train, and more in Pokemon. And almost every other MMO requires the same amount of grinding as Destiny, if not more. What makes them better? I'll tell you, Susan, they have more content and developers who listen to their fan base.

Super Smash doesn't have content lol what. Also Pokemon suffers from the same problems as Destiny if you look at. How long can you keep training your pokemon until you realize that you're essentially doing the same thing over and over. MMO games suffer from the same effect. Sure there's a lot of content in WoW but WoW is played in the same manner that Destiny is played. Run dungeon, run instance, run raid and rinse and repeat. People all the time complain about how little there is to do after playing WoW's content. Destiny is no different.

What I'm saying is you're complaining about something that's clearly present in the games you listed and that is repayable content. In each of the games you listed, you find yourself doing the same thing over and over. In Souls games you can spend hours on a 15 minute fight when done right. But if it's fun for you then so be it. In the end it's all about preference.

But every game I mentioned has way more story and lore than Destiny. :/

No I have not. It seems like a great game, but I am poor and can't afford a next gen console. :p If you like any Souls game I would recommend getting it based off of game play.

I can't argue that. I guess your best bet is to move on and continue playing the games you have mentioned. Clearly they offer more for you over more hours.
