What's best for warlock...sunsinger or void walker?

PvE - Sunsinger PvP - Voidwalker I originally used Voidwalker in PvP before I started levelling my Sunsinger for the self res in PvE.. The truth is that the Sunsinger super isn't that good in PvP, at the start of this Iron Banner I decided to go back to Voidwalker.. I'm rocking Crota gear with Claws of Ahamkara (two one hit melee's) I use void grenade to close of areas and keep enemies away from flag points, I use the vortex nova bomb for a similar affect at clearing and then protecting a flag while I capture, I keep my agility at the lowest as it isn't important as I use blink. Also I use the perk that prolongs my grenade and nova bomb along with the health regen on my melee... It works great as I'm already rank 3.75 :) [spoiler]check out my warlock, I think my subclass setup works great[/spoiler]

The real question should be.. Why not both .

It depends on what you're doing. Sunsinger is generally better but void walker is better in some applications. Sun singer is great for nightfalls and raids Sun singer gear - heart of praxic fire(chest) Void walker - obsidian mind (helm)

Sunsinger for both. If you want a Blink class for PvP then Bladedancer is better in every way. Just don't be one of those guys who runs self revive and Fusions, that isn't using the class to its best potential. Use burn damage Firebolts with Radiant Skin instead.

Sunsinger PVP: Badjuju Heart of Praxic Fire Remaining gear is personal preference Have Fusion Grenade, Radiant Skin, Flame Shield, and Gift of the Sun. Have Fun.

1 ReplyNo best just alternatives. Personally I'll switch between the two in game when completing pve activities. Also switching exotic armour around and bringing in bad juju if it fits. Don't stick too one, level one at a time though. Find what works best for you in what situation. You can always buy specific exotics to boost what you find best about both or one subclass

1 ReplyPersonally I enjoy being a Voidwalker more than a Sunsinger. I feel as a Sunsinger you don't get as much use out of you super because you are always saving it to self revive while playing the harder content but it serves a purpose for sure. If you have obsidian mind and bad juju as a Voidwalker, you can just nova bomb all day which is always fun. Watch the video http://youtu.be/Br4MY2I7dZY

It largely depends on both circumstance and preference. You can optimize both subclasses for various situations.
