Honestly wording is very important, clwarly as you're showing, so I'm going to throw this out there,
Maybe they changed it purposely so the masses would understand better, most people have never heard of bekenstein or whoever you're talking about and if they have they don't remember much. So if you say bound they won't understand what it means, but limit on the other hand is a clear meaning, so even if they don't know who bekenstein is, they know limit is max, and bekenstein sounds like Einstein so it's probably a smart scientists of sorts, so one could assume it has something to do with learning capacity.
Language is very important when it comes to science fiction, but being politically correct is not. Same reason people ignore the fact that we as guardians are seemingly destroying different races without cause or explanation, but because the Language of the story making us automatically the good guys and everything we kill the bad guys, it's all good. Just like how red signifies enemies, so online games often use red in some way shape or form to represent the opposing team.
It's all subjective, don't take it to heart.
Excellent catch though. I would've never known that was an actual reference to a real scientific term.
I know 1 would like to think it was a mistake but they have teams of people much more capable of googling shit from their fiber optic 100mbs company computer then the average forum poster, chances are some director of sorts changed the wording to be more universally understandable. A 14 year old is very unlikely to know Wtf a bekenstein bound is.

Edited by The Mannikin: 3/12/2015 7:47:46 AMNot really, bound can be used in different ways, such as something is bound to happen or I am bound to my marriage with my wife etc etc. And to retort your attempt to mock the less intelligent, anyone with a smart phone and a brain could've Googled the many definitions of bound, but that doesn't mean you will.
