Leaked Details & Look at a Level 34
Great little video showing off a Bungie employee at Light Level 34.
Looks like some weapons may get an upgrade and all new gear in House of Wolves will indeed go to +42 allowing for Light 34

560 RepliesThe thing that pisses me off is all the douchenozzles who insist vender gear should max at 29 and we should be forced to grind each trash raid in turn like the raiders who love to bend over for Bungie every week. I shouldn't have to raid to keep up with the rest of PvE, ever. Vender gear going to light level 33 if the HoW raid goes to 34 is perfectly fine, as level 31 was fine for TDB. Vender gear did not invalidate your VoG gear did, CE gear did you imbeciles. [b]You [/b]replaced the VoG stuff with CE stuff without a backwards glance, trashing it like a bunch of greens. [b]You [/b]invalidated it. Your level 32 armor already gets you a leg above the rest of us normal PvE types, are you really such insecure jackwagons you feel like your existence doesn't have meaning unless you can lord it over the PvEasents even further?

It went: 1) Vendor Gear 2) Raid Gear 3) New DLC = Back to Vendor Gear because it is better than raid gear 4) New Raid Gear It should go: 1) Vendor Gear 2) Raid Gear 3) New DLC = Vendor same as Raid (So if you raided you are ready day 1, no need to replace and re-level) 4) New raid gear It really was a crap move to make me walk into the tower and realize that my raid gear wasn't matched but OUTCLASSED by the vendor gear. Really made me question the value of doing all those vault runs trying to get the boots. Give the players who have played MORE and done the HARD stuff an advantage. Honestly, the raid guns this time are crap too...

6 RepliesJust did a little bit of Math, seeing a pattern and throwing a SWAG out there...[b] we're on course to hit level 100 by the end of Destiny's expected lifespan.[/b] Expansions seem to be, and according to leaked pictures, quarterly. With Destiny's expected lifespan to be 10 years, expanding up two levels every quarter for ten years would be 80 levels... Take the base of level 20 that brings the total level to 100. What do yall think?

45 RepliesPersonally I don't see the problem with new vendor gear being released (taking you to level 33)...... It's the way MMO's work. A new expansion is released, it raises the maximum level in the process. The new Raid gear takes you to level 34.......

I just don't want to have to restart all the grinding all over again. You don't keep people playing by continuously resetting progress every DLC. THE LIGHT LEVEL SHOULD HAVE NEVER WENT PAST THIRTY! You keep people playing by giving new content. For example take the half ass story line and give us a story we can actually play and enjoy not reading some bullshit card on a "companion app". If every time a new DLC DROPS light levels and gun ATTACK levels raise to make the exotic you have be useless. It's bullshit. I didn't play when destiny dropped. I started shortly before Crota came. But I hear about all the people who had the great exotics only to get shit on by bungie and have to wait for xur to randomly bring the needed upgrade so they can up the attack and redo all that hard work all over again. Between my first character and my 3 new ones I have like 25 days in game time and still no hawkmoon. If I get it finally and then a few weeks later new dlc drops and makes it obsolete its bullshit. Light level and gun levels should stay the same. Find a different way to make the game more fun then just BULLET SPONGE ENEMIES" and making us start the grind all over again. Vender gear should get u to 31 raid gear 32. When te new raid drops same levels Give us incentive to do the raid like maybe after ten completions a choice at what reward we want. And getting the raid gear gives perks to make the raid a lol easier like the crotA gear but still the same light levels. That way for example... I want hawkmoon. If I don't want to do the raid all my crota stuff still good and let's me have fun but not be handicapped or I can choose to do the new raid and have a better chance at the specific weopon I want. But making it so every time a new dlc drops you HAVE TO REGRIND EVERYTHING TO KEEPE PLAY SUCKS.

3 RepliesI have nothing against this. Most mmo's do this from time to time. The only thing I have a problem with is with the introduction of new content, level cap, and a new tier of gear progression, is it makes past raids obsolete. What they should do is wait a month or so after the next DLC is released, then buff the past raids to be on par with the current raid. This just means more things for players to do.
