STOP THE NERFING MADNESS!

Okay guys you already nerfed auto rifles before, and since then i no longer use them, accept occasionally abyss defiant. but now that weapon will b next to useless im sure. They are hardly useful anymore, even compared to the pulse rifles, which are now probably more useful than auto rifles. and why did u nerf hand cannons? they're suppose to be kind of O.P., considering you only get between 5 to 6 rounds average, unless u got something boss like Word of Crota or The Last Word, having 8 to 12 rounds. I will say however it was a good move to up the shotties, because a shotty, like a hand cannon is suppose to be a bit O.P. due to it's shitty recoil handling. Yes most people seem to use Autos, and ur probably just trying to balance that out... but Autos already trade fire rate for lack of impact, just make the other weaker weapons like pulse rifles stronger, leave Autos alone otherwise no one is going to use them anymore. It's good to have some O.P. weapons out there you know? It gives people a sense of accomplishment when they get that crazy good weapon, and it will push others to work toward getting an O.P. weapon for themselves. It's not a cheat weapon when you had to earn it.

  • QQ more. But seriously, Bungie was right to nerf ARs the way they have (for the most part) because they were horribly unbalancing in PvP, and too much of a general go-to weapon for PvE as well. If one weapon type clearly stands above all the others it ruins the sandbox and we can't have that, it's not just unbalanced but also boring. The only sort of buff I wouldn't mind seeing done to ARs is to put the old headshot multiplier of 1.5x back into effect, and maybe adjust the damage for the lower impact ARs. Right now the only ones worth using are the higher range ones like Suros that can still headshot for respectable damage. Again, the range nerfs were very much needed but if Bungie wants ARs to dominate CQB and be strong at mid range as they say, then ARs need that headshot factor put back. 6 shots doesn't seem like for a Suros in PvP, but when you compare it to Thorn or The Last Word it's an eternity - the Vex outguns it as well quite handily. That's hardly dominant, and it's made more insulting by the fact that the majority of Thorn users just spam the trigger for the 2 quick headshots and then hide (at least TLW is SUPPOSED to be fired quickly, being a six-shooter.)

      • I agree I never had an issue with autos being OP and I have had Suros since week 2 or 3. I main HC and did since the alpha. I'm pissed they are now nerfed they are supposed to reward a steady hand( good aim) but now the accuracy hit inhabitants that. I'm happy to see pulse compete but I don't think they really needed to Nerf anything to do that. The map design/size will help get scouts and other longer range weapons more popular. Plus there is only 1 exotic scout and 2 exotic pulse, so off the bat they are less popular for players that want an exotic primary.

      • Unfortunately I would have to agree with this post; at the moment Bungie is just a little too Nerf oriented. I worked hours of my life if not days to get my collection of Auto Rifles maxed, including my favorite Suros Regime. Now though is seems like this is a throw away weapon in PvP which has become a slaughter house for the pistol. I'm lucky if I even drop an opponents shield landing crits before being downed myself, then respawn, and do it all over again. As a competitive player I don't like this cycle obviously, and personally don't overly enjoy the feeling of pistols. This weapons patch won't have me change my primary weapon so much as it will reduce my time in my favorite game mode, Crucible. At this point the patch removed nearly all desire to use my favorite weapons; it's like the DMR in Halo all over again. Please Bungie, buff this weapon back to where it use to be, and at least put the Auto Rifle in the ball park of the pistol, not at the bottom of the barrel.

        Adjusting game mechanic is important to keep the game fresh and balanced. There isn't an MMO out there that doesn't do this. Hell, there isn't an FPS out there that doesn't do this. It's too bad people can't be a little bit more half-full about these changes. The nerf to armor piercining rounds was way over done, but hey....I get it. AP rounds with final round were disgusting. AP still works (kind of). I disagree that bungie had to basically remove the perk from the pvp game as hiding behind a wall with a felwinters lie is just as gay as hitting that summabitch through the wall with a final round for a kill. I just try to find the next weapon of choice and roll with the punches, hoping bungie might re-review the changes and its impact on game balance. I do believe they have our best gaming interest in mind

        • Bump. Bungie has gotten addicted to the nerfs. When you weaken one gun type, another will become the most used to rack up kills, and then they will want to nerf that weapon. It will become a never ending cycle. Bungie should be smarter than this...or so we would think.

        • Id totally agree they need to leave the guns alone!!! Put back what was taking...maybe add to some others if they feel the need but not take away!!!!
