What is the best helmet for the striker subclass
Thanks everyone for the advice!

If you are looking to have the ultimate helmet for supers as a striker, look no further than the helm of innermost light. You get Death from Above standard and can add another perk to modify the super further, such as aftermath. It is amazing. If you are looking for something that makes you heal a lot and hard to kill, go for the insurmountable skullfort. It regens health when you pick up orbs and when you use the storm fist to kill an enemy, and you spawn with storm fist ready to go.

I have only tried Helm of Inmost Light, but I like it quite a lot. I am superman.

Edited by TheWilsonPGH: 2/27/2015 11:40:09 PMSkullfort for Hard Crota. Armamentarium if you either love grenades, or don't have boots that give extra heavy. Ruin Wings. Nuff said. Edit: all my suggestions are for pve

If you prefer PvP, then Mark 44. Stand Asides would be the way to go for strikers. Shoulder charge to victory and complete the tear collection bounty for your Bungie Forums level. Armamentarium would be pretty good to, nothing better then an extra grenade and great Titan grenade tits! Personally I rock my Crest of Alpha Lupi all day every day since day one.

skullfort, always skullfort.
-
Insurmountable Skullfort is good but its both for both subclass. Helm of Inmost light is the only other. Not entirely useful but free death from above

Edited by Artoria Pendragon: 2/26/2015 4:15:05 AMInmost light, however that helmet is also not tooooo amazing. I'd personally use armamentarium, especially in PvP.
-
I don't use an exotic helm, I use the Armamentarium.
-
No helmet... use Armamentarium... period.
-
Inmost Light unquestionably

Armamentarium for PvP. Equip lightning grenades, Aftermath and some +discipline/intellect gear and you'll be the most effective area denail weapon in the match. Helm of Inmost Light allows you to have all the best striker perks at once but I'd personally rather have more grenades. Death From Above gets me killed a lot to be honest. In places with low ceilings it kind of screws you. Without DFA on you can jump to get a bit more horizontal distance with FoH when using it in enclosed areas or if you are under fire and need to close the gap quickly. If you try this with DFA on you'll just smash into the ground 2 ft in front of where you activated super and get gunned down with no kills to show for it. Inmost Light or Skullfort for PvE. Inmost light again gives the best striker perks and Skullfort heals on orb pickup and storm fist kills (extremely useful for CE raid).

Edited by Rynoceros: 2/26/2015 3:15:55 AMI use Saint-14 even on my Striker. High Intellect = more FoH I'll bump down to a Legendary and use Ruin Wings for going Rocketarded on Strikes. Mk. 44 Stand Asides in PvP
-
Inmost light
-
Striker: inmost light or skullfort Defender: saint-14 or glasshouse
-
Pve use ruin wings for defender and striker
-
Edited by Radiicola: 2/26/2015 3:04:42 AMDepends totally on what you're doing PvE-Insurmountable Skullfort PvP-Helm of Inmost Light Since I'm more into PvE, I tend to use defender class with Helm of Saint 14
-
Are you talking PVE or PVP?
-
Helm of inmost light. It allows you to have all three main fist if havoc perks equipped at once. For defender helm of saint 14
-
The best helmet is anything with faster melee. As far as exotic I'd go with Armamentarium. Useful in every situation. Don't forget about Insurmountable Skullfort for crucible. Spawning with melee is undeniably useful. Even though it's meant for Strikers it's perfect for a defender always spawning with a force barrier.
-
Striker- Helm of Inmost Light. Defender- Saint-14.
-
I use the Inmost Light the most when I'm a striker.
-
May I interest you in an order of Ruin Wings???
-
Personally I dig inmost light
-
Helm of inmost light. Hands down.
-
Whatever you feel is necessary but I prefer i most in pve and pvp
-
Inmost=pvp Skullfort=pvp/pve
