Others on this post: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/65349153/0/0, have suggested Bungie add a option to pre-order Split Screen so that they can know upfront that there is demand and that they have an economic incentive to commission work on it. So what do you think, how much would you pay for Split Screen?
-
Should have added an other amount. I'd pay whatever for split screen as dlc if my girlfriend would play it with me.
-
I think it should be free but I would pay $60 fur that… I love sitting on the couch with my friends tearing up whatever is in front of us. My brothers and I beat every Halo that way. It was amazing!
-
I don't think there shouldn't be, i just don't care, I wouldn't use it but many others would
-
Co-op would be cool but I think System Link (LAN) would be even better.
-
This game will be a huge blockbuster regardless of the lack of split screen. I actually canceled my preorder when I found out. I need games that I can play with my wife and son...
-
We need ums some split screenz
-
It is unneeded.
-
I think it should be on the game, at least for PvP and our should be free, but honestly this is a feature I would pay for. It's so disappointing that game developers are driving people away from having real friends. For years, I have been playing Halo and CoD splitscreen on a couch with a buddy nearly every weekend. Since I loved the Destiny beta, this means we will be playing online instead of actually hanging out. Then there are the people who have spouses they want to play with. Not everyone can afford to buy a second TV and console just so they can play with someone else in the same room.

Edited by Triciaa: 8/22/2014 3:02:09 AMThis game really needs split screen. My boyfriend and I want to play this together so bad!!! Come on Destiny, Please!!!!
-
I have life long buddies that love nothing more than some split screen action
-
Haven't done split screen since... Game cube.... Haven't missed it either.
-
Bungie"you should play this game with your friends! It is so social!" No splitscreen, can only play with two people during the story missions, and no private matches. :\
-
what is this the gamecube? who still doing split screen in 2014,
-
$0 because split-screen won't affect me at all
-
No one in my family does split screen. Even then the more fun filled split screen games are given by Nintendo (at least in our opinion).
-
What The heck bungie! And activation!!! Think of it this way... Halo (split screen) call of duty (split screen) why the heck not have it! The most epic games have split screen! Halo one should of had 4 player split screen for campaign. I mean everyone wanted 4 player split screen back then! I will like bungie and activation a little less if they don't add split screen
-
Why the hell do people not want split screen?
-
I would pay a little extra for it as dlc, like a 15 dollar dlc game. Otherwise, I am not planning on getting destiny, I'd love to, but my wife and I play after work and we play co-op and split screen games. I'm sure destiny will sell very very well without split screen, but I will miss it.

Edited by Puma: 8/22/2014 4:33:10 AMPersonally, I would love split screen but I am sorely opposed to it being a paid expansion. It should be free. The fact that Bungie is willing to offer the option at a price is just greedy. I get that they are a company but in the end I would think they got into the industry because they loved games. Withholding things like this is just against that mindset of doing it for the love. For those of you that really don't care one way or the other, try and be empathetic of those that have siblings out there or those on tight budgets and can't afford multiple systems, TVs, and games. Split screen also opens the opportunity for you single men and women out there to create an opening for a significant other. I mean this is a game that you could seriously sink time into with another person all cozy on the couch. In the end, it is simply an option to have split screen. That doesn't mean you have to utilize it. However, why throw away an option if it is offered to you. Why not just have it as a back up just in case. For those that still just are completely opposed, please let me know why. I honestly can't think of how it would hinder anyone else's gameplay.

Many have noticed this forum has a lot of bad posts. Some say it's a dedicated troll forum and I'd be inclined to agree. That said, this is the dumbest thing I've seen posted here.

The very idea of removing split screen from the gaming experience was intended to force each individual gamer into purchasing his or her own copy of the game and console, thereby bringing more revenue into the hands of the gaming production companies. Unfortunately this decision by the gaming companies is leaving gamers with no options, either they buy the game, sell their souls to the anti-social world of mass online multiplayer or they don’t buy the game. In truth the saddest part about the ordeal will be the sacrifice of the gaming experience. Before mass online multiplayer was introduced into the gaming world, brothers and sisters, friends and buddies sat side by side laughing and joking, punching each other for screen peaking, having a great time. It was a great way for families to spend time together, and for friends to be able to socialize and play video games. But now we are left with a choice…either socialize, or play video games, and it is a choice we should not have to make. If the majority of the first person shooter game players were antisocial adults who live in their mothers’ basements, then yes removing split screen would be a good idea, but on behalf of all the friends who I can no longer play with, on behalf of all of the families who can no longer play together on their console, on behalf of everyone who holds dear the childhood memories of playing side by side with friends and family I say no…No to the gaming companies, no to the makers of the console, no to all the anti-social people who don’t give a toot about everyone else. Destiny was inspired by great minds, the minds who brought us Halo and CoD, the greatest split screen multiplayer games of the last gen console, arguably of all time, so why would they end the most fun aspect of playing their games? Why take away what made their past games so great...? Now as I look at the other controllers sitting on top of the console gathering dust, I can only think to myself that perhaps it is time to put the other controller down too…for good.

splitscreen for all! i like playing with friends on the same couch. don't care how much it would cost to be honest as long as it was bundled with other DLC.
-
Truthfully i think that spit screen should be just part of the game. In other words free. If they needed money i would not mind paying about 100$ extra as a donation type deal just for an emblem in game that says that i donated. But if i had to put a price on it it would be 10$ but personally i would pay the price for a second game for this feature. But if if i have to pay for latter games by Bungie for this relatively small feature, i'll look at Bungie the same way i look at the soulcalaber games after No. 3. An exponential drop in game Quality. (but better Graphics)

I don't want split screen. Otherwise my friends would never leave me the f*ck alone, would they?
-
As long as someone is singled into there own account and has there own guardian that they have built and gathered there own gear on I see no problem With split scren. If ur talking about guesting someone on your account then that will never happen in this game
-
I'm curious to hear any serious arguments against splitscreen... 168 people (at this time) have voted against it; is there any actual reason why it's bad or are you just the kind of person who doesn't want other people getting something because you don't need it?
