Amazon has run out of beta codes

I just pre-ordered destiny on xbox one from amazon and did not receive a beta code. After talking to their customer service department they told me they have ran out of destiny beta codes so I was unable to get one. On the destiny website it still says that you can get the beta from amazon. Would it be possible to get a xbox one beta code from anywhere else?

  • I've pre-ordered today from Amazon as well (PS4, annoying that I missed the exclusive period but whatever) and didn't receive a code in about 4-5 hours. I cancelled the pre-order and re-ordered but have now realised that the Beta is in maintenance for today and tomorrow, that might be something to do with it. However, if it is the case that Amazon is out of codes it'd be cool to get a replacement :)

    • They send the codes for Xbox on the 23rd at 10 am pacific or 1 pm eastern. That's when you will get your code.

There are multiple other retailers that you can preorder from. Just know that they have limited beta keys just like Amazon did. Edit: I recommend calling the retailer to see if they have one.

      • Hi The Dragon Bane, The amount of codes and how it is provided, is up to the individual retailers. If they claim to have exhausted their resources, then it is most likely to be true unless proven otherwise. At this point, you could ask to receive a refund for the already made preorder. If you would like, you can try any of the other participating retailers.
