Is God bound by logic?

Assuming that God exists, and is more or less how Christians/Jews/Muslims/Etc. describe him, is he bound to logic or can he exist outside of it? I always thought that since God created the universe, and logic is a fact of this universe, then God must not be bound by even logic, since he basically created it. Thoughts?

  • if you mean, for example, if God could make a square with three sides, then no. He couldn't, because that would be violating the definition of a square and so it wouldn't be a square that was being messed with anymore. However, I'm pretty certain He could create other universes founded on entirely different sets of physics and logics that would make perfect sense to any thing living in them, like us.
