I never thought I'd say it, but I'm beginning to hate Hawkmoon in PvP. I'm on Xbox 1, and anxiously awaited its arrival; I got it on Day 1. I have realised, however, in my using it and playing against it, that it has become the new Thorn of the Y2 meta.
It certainty isn't as bad as Thorn, and isn't as broken as TLW, but Hawkmoon has continued the old "instant kill" meta by having numerous Luck in the Chamber chances. It still happens too often, and leads to annoying two shots faster than Thorn ever managed them.
I propose that the Holding Aces perk be replaced with another perk, or a new one entirely. I'd like to hear what you would consider as a good adjustment, or if it needs changing at all.

It still doesnt compete with pulse rifle & scout rifle range, it's fine.

It helps to kill them before they kill you. Just a tip

RNG IN GUNFIGHTS
-
The gun kicks like a mule. If they 2 shot you they deserved it.
-
Hawkmoon is fine
-
This gun has been nerfed to the ground! And you are complaining about it...... Hell this gun was rarely complained about BEFORE the nerf!
-
No just no. This is 100% proof on how Xûr ruins things. You're only annoyed because everyone is using it. It's not OP.
-
No! It's just as it should be. Hand cannons are high risk high reward. And I'm really getting tired of the "I keep getting killed by it" nerf it attitude. Get your skills up!
-
Bruh just wait until people realize the current power of the red death. You should be more worried for that to take off than the hawkmoon rn. It's going to be the new trials super weapon
-
But a hawk moon two shot is entirely luck based. They could change up the formula maybe, you have a lower chance at the start of a mag and a higher at the end of it, increasing the chances of you dyeing before you get your lucky shots.
-
Oh my god. What the hell. Hawkmoon is nowhere near needing a nerf. If anything, it needs a fix. The thing (alike other hc's) never seems to register. Skilled players can use it to great effect, even breaking TLW's old TTK. And now your whining because you suck.
-
Hell no! I'm getting tired of the "I'm getting killed by this gun so nerf it" rants!! Heck, why doesn't Bungie nerf all guns, swords & supers so it becomes a massive melee fight, lol! Go back to minecraft while the grown ups play destiny:D

there has to be something for skilled players to use. skilled players can't stand using pulse rifles and auto rifles. it's like it goes against our moral fiber. pulse rifles and auto rifles are really easy for noobs to use. that is why all of a sudden, bad players are starting to score a lot better. they rocked hand cannons when they were the meta, but were unable to beat other hand cannon users. they like to spam shots. they like to just hold the trigger. hand cannon users desire precision over spam.
-
Playstation never complained about Hawkmoon. And you have a nerfed version. Not even close to what it was before. I knew Xbox users would call for a nerf.
-
Hawkmoon is still strong but nowhere near as strong as it used to be if your just now seeing the wrath of hawkmoon on Xbox one is was much worse before 2.0. But of all your worries it should be red death and bad juju these are the guns that are borderline op as bad juju has a super fast Time to kill as does red death. The latter regenerating your health. Red death will two burst you.

guardian tears are yummy

Get a life
-
Fgt OP?
-
No..... just no. hawkmoon is not half of what thorn was and maybe 70% of TLW.
-
Its not that its op, its that kids still rely on crutch cannons and can't use anything else. Im constantly going against them in rumble, just annoying that there's no variation.
-
It's fine the way it is.
-
Seems fine to me.
-
I agree, but I think just a slight overall damage nerf would be fine. Those lucky bullets would then have purpose. As is, Hawkmoon's damage output is high enough without lucky rounds.
-
Holy shit really? Just play the game dude, the guns fine. They already nerfed it, and now you want the already weaker hawkmoon to be nerfed again? Dude just stop. This post is shit.
-
It's fine where it is
