Trials Of Osiris Sucks
Lets Be Clear... This is my personal OPINION based on my experience over a few hours playing this mode.
#bungie you have failed all crucible loving guardians. You have taken a trash game mode (skirmish) and added things to make it suck more. You have created the perfect Sniper-fi Thorn-laced Felwinter-crash-handshake camper crucible game mode. It Is terrible.
Here are a few things I think would help...
1.) Remove supers- Self explanatory, all of them have their respective OP-ness
2.) Re-Balance the weapons- your ability to shoot accurately should determine the damage, not the impact on your hand cannon.
3.) Remove Heavy- no one should be rewarded for trash gjallahorn shots that wolfpack around 7 walls when you miss your target.
These are just a few... Guardians feel free to comment below if you agree or disagree.
Edit: this high low give one team the advantage bullshit on each map you select is trash... Do us s favor and literally level the playing field so one team doesn't even have to move before posting up with sniper rifles and long range camp out your every path.

I completely agree. Supers and heavy shouldn't exist in an elite game mode like trials. Players should rely on skill, not golden guns, nova bombs and rockets.

i remembered my team killed two of the enemies (with primary) but the last guy have gjallarhorn... result? he killed three of us... heavy and super should not be available in ToO also poison damage from thorn last too long.

1 ReplyI agree with you the ToO has major issues right now. I don't know that supers and heavyset are it since they are available in all other crucible modes. What I think is lacking in ToO is the ability to correctly match teams together. I constantly get matched to play against flawless teams and it's honestly no fun. I get this is an end game content and I'm by no means saying I should be given an easy round. I merely believe that there are different classes of payers and teams should be matched accordingly instead of being 100% random.

Dude I was going 8-0 and I got deDOSed on my 9th match. It didn't use up my mercy tho it counted as a loss!! My mercy was still there and I had to reset my card!!

3 RepliesThe big mistake was they caved to the whiners who endlessly moaned on the forums about how they didn't get rewarded for doing good in crucible .. Now enter the 9 wins = guaranteed exotic weapons and armor.. I would imagine by week 3 or maybe 4 it will be impossible to go 9-0 in the trails without running into cheaters of some sort.. And then the "if you can't beat them, join them" begins to gain momentum that's all that will be left, as all the legit players will move back to regular crucible.. This is why RNG is such a double edged sword..

And whining about weapons when you can use the same ones. Play more tactical and avoid Getting hit when you know they have these weapons. Everyone complaining about supers and thorn is just bad and can't adapt and will never be good cause they will never accept that they made a mistake so they blame it on the game. Honestly if it's so bad then don't play it but complaining about supers and weapons is just pathetic, especially when you have access to the same thing

Bump, its a cheap shity game type. "End game content", more like content we paid for recycled into a gametype that literally took a couple of hours to create, and sold as a brand new ordeal that you have to be unskilled to do. It takes no skill to body shot someone for an instant kill. As it also takes no skill to do all the other cheap methods of killing in ToO. And the thing is we can either play like them with the shity tactics and have a chance at winning, or we can try by other means and lose consistently. Its a broken gametype. I also feel like it should be 6 person rumble and the top 3 people get a win, and maybe number 1 gets 2 win points. If someone gets carried to the lighthouse because they suck, and I am better than them yet cant get a good trials team then what the -blam!- is that bullshit. I want my efforts to solely going to me, not someone else. -blam!- bungie, -blam!- their "philosophy", its -blam!-ing stupid. Ill never see the lighthouse, and all that does is depress me because I cant do something no matter how much I practice or try. And then theres all those -blam!- bags that get it on every character like its a god damn walk in the park. Im really -blam!-ing sick of it.

And cheaters that boot you when your getting flawless the legit way , Ruins trials I don't even wanna bother knowing that if there's one there's gotta be more scum out there doing it so what's the point when bungie gives you the loss for a error code because of someone else

14 RepliesHere's a thought: after you go 9-0, you're done. This should apply to each character. If not, then make it so you can go to the Lighthouse once per character, so there will be not much of an incentive to keep playing Trials after that. There's no reason people should be able to keep getting rewards after they've gotten them once, no other highly rewarding mode (night falls, raids) allows you to do this. Trials is supposed to be competitive, but it f--ks anyone who isn't very good, doesn't play pvp much, anyone with a job or responsibilities who don't have a lot of time to play, and people who constantly get matched up with flawless players and lag switchers.

I disagree. I think that the Trials of Osiris is what's keeping a lot of people going in Destiny right now, whether they have gone flawless, or are still trying their luck. Trials is just another OPTIONAL crucible game mode that you may or may not happen to be good at, and that's ok. Yes it is hard, it's supposed to be. Sometimes you go up against cheaters, and tryhards, it happens in all game-modes. It's supposed to be tactical. It's supposed to be a thinking game. You either have what it takes to work together and better the other team or you don't. The problem is that a lot of people who attempt a go at Trials find out the hard way that they're not as good at PvP as they thought they were. Thorn, Gjallarhorn, Last Word, etc., these weapons are all mechanics of the game that people use because they are dependable and effective. You either learn your way around them, learn your way through them, or go play Prison of Elders.

2 RepliesYeaahhhh, I do perfect in Crucible but trials isn't a test of skill, It's a test of cheap shots and retarded strategies like "Camp here on his body, or let's just wait for them to come to us, or let time run out and sit on the zone." Thorn poison damage with axion bolt isn't cheap at all. I just don't get it. I'm golden in any other mode but Osiris. As a Titan, Every loadout is poor compared to the extra life 1 up warlock or the golden gun/arc blade hunter. titan super is a one trade at most. You got to charge suicidally to even maybe get one kill. Bubble? Oh they just run far away. Dumb. Strategy is basically non-existent in ToO, think about it. Motion tracker negates all flanks. They sit in a room. Intel is freely given away. Is there communication? Yes, but it's not the kind of communication that employs anything but the obvious. It is just about as much fun as 1 million rounds of rock paper scissors. Who can pull out the cheap shots first? Sit back. Sit back. Read a magazine while your waiting for the timer.ToO is extremely terrible. I don't like it because intel is not worth anything. The motion tracker negates breaching and suprise routes. Its just 3 v3 staring at eachother with x ray vision . Awful.

Trials of Osiris is the best thing in Destiny right now. It's just that the gun imbalance is more noticeable when your success is based on wins and losses. I hope the 2.0 patch will bring people back to the mode that have given up based on frustration with op exotic primaries.

The only problem with trials is the unreal map balance, which unfortunately can't truly fixed at this point. (Not a fan of current weapon use either but that is changing)

I hop on and get a few wins, and then i get placed against a super team thats gone flawless 8 times. Its damn near guaranteed I'm going to lose. Kind of sucks like that. Those guys should be playing against other flawless teams. Let the rest of us duke it out against other normal teams.
