While all the others I feel are self-explanatory, I will explain why I feel Digital Downloads and Pre-Loading is wrong IMHO. The convenience is great that's obvious what may not be is it is not as competitively priced if they have a captive market, competition is good. Used game market will also die.
There may be others I have have missed or couldn't fit in, so please feel free to list other concerns you have if I have not included them or comment on the poll options above if you want.
Edit: [b]Dishonourable mentions
Pre-orders & Day 1DLC
Split screen not being included as standard.

Just about every game released now-a-days seems to run like complete shit. What happened to the good old days when you bought a game cartridge that worked as advertised? I'll tell you... These developers are too comfortable with being able to fix it later with patches. And the money hungry publishers don't help either.

1000th post!

Unfinished games barely beats out micro transactions but I HATE micro transactions. The second they started selling camos in BO2, they killed my love for cod
-
I think the most concerning trend is people coming onto online forums and whining non-stop about games. And console wars. And DLC. And anything else they can whine about.

Edited by Yonko: 4/12/2015 7:25:23 PMEvery game leaving behind its unique formula to try and cash in on the CoD crowd. 343 Halo is a perfect example. That and companies trying to fix things that aren't broken -- trying to add things just for the sake of change. "Inovative" they call it, but it just ends up being gimmicky as hell, and end up being detrimental to gameplay. Counter Strke has barely changed in it's 15 or so years you incompetent devs! And it's still at the top. Maybe you should pay attention! Lastly Destiny DLC is definitely concerning. Paying the same price for less content (Xbox)? Lets not forget Destiny is half the content of an average Xbox one game, and they want us to fork over $20 more for a couple more gigs worth of content? Two expansions are out and it's still 3/4 the content of an average Xbox game. You've essentially played $100 for 3/4 a game that's ridiculous...

What's wrong with paid dlc it's only bad in my opinion if it's on disc or should have been a free update or in game.
-
They should bring back split-screen co-op. Why is Nintendo the only console manufacturer that still has fun co-op games in its arsenal? My husband and I want to play Destiny, and quite a few other games, together.

Micro-transactions arent an issue, most of the time all they are, are just stupid cheap cosmetics no one really buys. They're optional and not game-breaking. DLC's to an extent may be an issue. If it's already pre-loaded in the disc but cut, then we have a problem.

Edited by MsCadetUNIVERSE: 4/11/2015 12:24:26 AMI think most people in this study set will gravitate to unfinished/broken only because there's no All of the Above and Then Some option. I have largely cut down on buying games the last several years because of all the consumer exploitation and downright incompetence. For all systems besides the 3DS, I might buy two or three new games total per year. (I buy more for the 3DS because it's less of an investment, they seem to have fewer technical issues, and there are just generally more games that I would enjoy.) Edit: Though I do have to say the amiibo situation should be added to your dishonorable mentions.

All of them. But right now probably broken and unfinished games, especially on steam green light and early access
-
Honestly I think it's the copy-and-paste style of games that come out. Cod and sports games are the worst offenders. I just don't get how people keep buying them. At least pokemon adds new mechanics to the game when they release it.
cod is garbage. Don't buy black ops 3
I understand the concern surrounding pre-ordering games, but it's very convenient paying a $60 game off over a couple months. Especially if you like buying the super editions of games.
-
Call of Duty should of been its own Poll option
-
All of the above
-
Unfinished games like BF4, AC: Unity and yes, even though I love halo and support 343, MCC. I feel that wasn't really their fault as much as it was Microsoft's though.
-
Counter strike does not have these problems
-
Too much realism. I like fun games, not ultra real games.

Edited by poopinator122: 4/11/2015 12:03:55 AMWhat about games with confusing story lines or games with no story (Destiny I'm talking about you), I get confused easily.

Nothing wrong with paid DLC. What's wrong is taking something out of the original game just for the purpose of selling it (Day 1 DLC). Otherwise paid DLC is fine.
