How bungie is going to change Devils ruin when the full auto setting is implemented next season?
Edit: people don’t understand how devils ruin works…
If players tap the fire trigger it fires like a side arm but you hold the fire trigger it shoots like a laser/fusion rifle.
How will this work with the full auto settings?
Edit: bungie please update devils ruin, maybe when hipfire the laser is active? Similar to lumina

The exact same.

It will probably get the reload treatment where you gotta hold the reload to enter a single shot burst of energy. That makes the most sense
-
Odds are they haven't considered it and we're gonna see Devils Ruin disabled tomorrow "due to an issue."
-
Damn good question. One I’m sure Bungie hasn’t thought of. Their horrible track record proves it. Which means Devil’s Ruin will be disabled for 3/4 or the season.

Edited by Devil's Ruin (Adept): 12/5/2022 9:08:29 PMSadly I will probably be unchanged from how I am now
-
It will do exactly what it did it before
-
This is the same for fusions and lfr also not just devils ruin. Bungie will prolly leave it as a second thought or something to worry about later
-
That's a good question... currently, it fires on trigger RELEASE, not pull. Holding it down charges the weapon and lets the lazer fly. With full auto, though... idk, i think i'll keep the full auto setting off for now.
-
It’s likely just not going to and I highly doubt Bungie will rework it to. Bungie loves their exotic “flavor” and Devil’s Ruin’s entire flavor hinges on being able to do two things on the fly with 0 downtime: as seen with the Pyrogenesis perk.
-
It probably won't work with the full auto setting, or they will have to re-work the exotic itself
-
Devils Ruin
The new Telesto!
-
It’ll probably be exempt, and I believe Bungie has already stated that the change won’t apply to all weapon types, but I could be wrong
-
The global full auto toggle sounds like it’s going to make a mess of certain weapons and archetypes, I hope they have work arounds they haven’t mentioned yet.
-
My guess it will work in one these ways 1) some weapons are omitted from the feature. 2) all weapons are included, so if any weapons do not work correctly with the feature enabled you will have to turn it off. 3) Bungie is also making changes to how some weapons work so the full auto will not impede their other abilities.

Edited by Vijil: 12/5/2022 5:17:52 PMyou can either turn the setting on for all weapons, or you can use mods to achieve it on a weapon-by-weapon basis. If you have the full auto setting on, I bet you're going to have the exact issue you describe. So if you want to use it and full auto on others, then I'd recommend leaving the setting off, and using mods on your other weapons. Hopefully, they've accounted for this in some way, but its Bungie, so I'd bet not.

I believe there will be an option that is switchable without using a mod socket.
-
Either it'll be exempt from the changes or it'll get slightly reworked.
-
I am curious about this full story toggle as well. Is it an option you can flip on for each individual weapon or is it a toggle for everything is the settings menu?
-
Idk that’s a good question, maybe exotics that already have the full auto on it before the changes will only be Able to use that but if it’s for all exotics imagine how fast dps would be if you could have a full auto ghorn ect. Or how op certain exotics will get. A full auto lord of wolves

4th Horsemen as well.
