Bungie should address the issue of paid carries/recoveries. It’s too hot of a issue for them not to.

There’s been a lot of talk in the forums and other sites about paid carries/recoveries in Comp play. As a service to its player base, Bungie should address this and make its stance clear. If they are against it, then they should say so and take action against accounts that’s are using these services. If they don’t care, then they should say that much as well. At least then the player base can go on knowing that these services are allowed and can decide what to do as far as playing. I know Bungie see the many post about this. Not addressing the issue is starting to cause damage to Bungie’s reputation and Crucible’s integrity. None of which has to happen if they just take the time and address the problem. This seems to be a case where a little transparency can go a long way. So whoever mans these forums, I ask that you please do the simple task of responding to the many post about paid carries/recoveries. As a huge fan of this game, I’d hate to see a large player portion leave over an issue that you can resolve one way or another. • Bungie doesn't care. Even one of the most famous pvp streamers is openly selling comp carries for 50$ and he is global #1 on pvp kills. All bungie does to him is retweet his tweets on twitter

  • Lol. To each their own. Id rather play. The experience is more fun than doshing out $300 for a raid carry.

  • They haven't in 4 years they're not going to start now. That said, I have never done it but I'd much sooner give my money to a recov than Bungie's microtransactions. Theyll never see another dime from me.

  • Why would they bother, if players wish to jeopardize their account info and pay big bucks to someone they don’t know to play on their account, why should bungie care?

  • Apart from blocking the ads for them in LFG there is very little Bungie can do about them. This is a Sony and Microsoft problem brought about by allowing 1 account on multiple consoles. That’s not going to change though because the benefits of it outweigh the negatives.

  • They are going to keep ignoring it, because.... Bungie. Remember when they said they wanted their PvP to be like Halo? To be MLG ? Lmao.

      • What’s the difference between a friend playing on your account or carrying you and getting you a win versus paying or winning a raffle entry on twitch? The answer? Nothing. Sure I can imagine your frustration. It makes things complicated for you and that must make playing exhausting. But that’s why those very people exist. People with lower skill then you, tired of grinding and getting stumped and falling short. They found a feasible solution. You’re more alike than different.

            • People may leave for a variety of reasons but paid carries/recoveries arent one of them because the average Destiny player couldnt care less if someone pays for a weapon.

                • It's against the rules, but impossible to enforce. That's the most basic summary.

                • There’s no way for Bungie to prove a paid carry occurred. What if you go to a friend’s house, log into their Xbox by downloading your profile, and let them play for you? What if my kid is away for college and asks me to do some stuff on their account? Unfortunately, there’s no way to prove a carry is paid. Bungie cannot police this.

                  • You would think bungie / Netease would do more to eliminate these paid carry’s as paidcarrys uses them to make money off their company franchise.

                  • Normally, paid carries don't bother me. Some tool wants to pay for something stupid, have at it. However, some of these sherpa's ar using DDos attacks to make sure they win. That, I can't stomach.

                    • Only thing that's ever bothered me is when they actually use the person's account. Besides that, so long as they're in their bracket I don't care. They want to pay for loot so what? Yeah I know it takes away the whole point, but realistically the % of people doing this'd be small enough that that's just meh.

                      • Dilly dilly! I mean who wants to pay more for this game and why is this BS allowed. Plus a lot of the paid Carrie's are most likely a scam. So they leave our player base at risk for scam for those who want to pay.

                      • They should definitely do something about the legit cheaters. Nothing they can do honestly about someone paying someone else to get do something for them. What do want bungie to be able to have access to our financial statements to track the paid carries? Let people pay all that money for something they could devote time to and get. Really it's no one's business how someone else spends their money.

                        • I think there are multiple ways to look at this issue but I'll be brief. 1) Ppl pay for what they want. This goes for any and every thing you can imagine. Ex: I could cut my grass, but to save me time and energy I'll pay someone else. Ex2: My neighbor is better than me at cutting grass and I would like my lawn to look like his so I pay him and its done. Good looking lawn. 2) If you're not good enough, you dont deserve it! I'm all for hardwork, but this is more a subjective/emotional point than an objective one. If I'm not good enough, how can I get better if I'm getting steam rolled by better players who are doing recovs. Or I may have trouble finding a team, plus that's more of a personal viewpoint. The flipside of this is dont care about earning it, I'll just buy it and the end result is the same. 3) The ranking system is flawed because it only promotes W-L not really individual skill. In this example, I could play horrible but still win and get points due to the strength of my team. So in essence, if my team is insanely good, they could carry me to legend. Someone said this below but, I feel like if I did well I should still progress forward a little and more so if I win and regress in rank if I play poorly and lose 4) There needs to be dedicated servers, net coding and hit registration should be better. This isnt about recovs but it needs to be said

                          • This is no different then other sites banning the sale of items from their games. Entire economies sprung up, literally rooms full of people playing online and selling weapons and armor. And honestly, paying for a carry is doing the exact same thing. It hurts the economy of the game when Player A struggles and spends a lot of time and energy playing to get something, and player B just pays for it. It makes the playing field uneven. It lessens the value of what took hard work to get. And it also makes a mockery of anyone who would support paid carries but got their panties all in a bunch about Eververse. It's the same thing, except third parties profit, not the company who made the game. I like the fact that other people don't all have what I have, and that there are plenty of people who have things I don't. If you start selling it all, it makes the grind a total farce.

                          • There’s nothing wrong with them. And no. I don’t care about Bungie’s rules or whatever since they don’t. If people wanna make money off the game, let em. If people wanna spend money on the game, let em. It’s NOT your business and it’s NOT mine.

                            • How do you propose they police this? If someone wants to 'lend' their account to someone else there's nothing Bungie can do about it.
