As long as there is joining in progress for pvp matches, there will be instances where you join a match in progress where you are being creamed. This isn't a problem with Bungie, their matchmaking system, or you. It is a problem with the community in general. And the same can be said for literally any other pvp game that has joins in progress. People are losing? They quit out. The game tries to replace them, and in the time it takes to find a replacement, the short team gets beaten down more, and now you have the typical "Always joining a losing team" scenario. As long as people want to quit from games they are losing, we will be stuck with this stupidity. Only way to fix it is to have no joins in progress, which brings its own host of problems. It's the same for all of us, so I feel your pain.

1 ReplyI hate this so much I also think that people who "quit" a match early should get punished and have some of their rank removed and get locked out by quit I mean click TAB and hold O to orbit, not an error code

Unfortunately this isn't something they can fix very easily. If they just make it so people can't join games in progress, all that does is make things hopeless for people when someone leaves. The real problem here is this community. So many people are just salty ragequitters. That's what's really causing this problem.

Besides I’ve been put into losing games then we’d end up winning. Not always bad. What they need to do is let the losing team summon Lord Shaxx temporarily. Or give the losing team the Valkyrie lol.

1 ReplyIf they randomly spawn you into losing games, they should spawn you in with full grenade, super, melee and heavy ammo. A small compensation for the inconvenience. They should disable it for quitters so it’s not abused.

Where were you when I needed you?. I ended up in a 4v1 a couple days ago. Played for a few mins like that just jumped off the map before they could kill me. They couldn't score points if they didn't kill me. Then I realized I didn't want to do that for another 2 min and just ran straight at them. I played for at least 3 mins alone. No one was sent to suffer with me yet I spawn in a match and.it ends before I'm fully loaded into the game. This is the answer to people asking for a challenge.

3 RepliesLook at your W/L ratio on Destinytracker. Is it at, or near 50%? If so... Well then, working as intended. The Crucible is manipulated. That's Bungie's goal. Let's do an experiment... 1. Write down your current k/d, and W/L ratio. Save that data in a notebook. 2. Start spending about $10-$20 per month at Eververse. (If you do this already, increase your monthly expenditure.) 3. Always equip all of your Eververse purchased gear (shaders, ghosts, ship, etc) when in The Crucible. 4. In 3 months, check your k/d and W/L ratio. Write that data in your notebook. Compare that to your previous k/d and W/L ratio. 5. Come back here and tell us your results.

If they make solo que and team que this would happen less. Fireteams go in. And people leave before the match starts. Then not only are the 3 solo players at a disadvantage because they are against a Fire team but they also have fewer players. Next thing you know another player drops out realizing it's not worth their time. By the time some pour fool get dropped in the games too far gone. I know we have enough solo players for a solo only que. If people in fireteams don't like it go play competitive.

5 RepliesOr a more robust Mercy Rule system might be nice. The point spread to call the game gets tightened when players start dropping out (example: 50 point spread for a full match, 40 point spread for a 4v3, 30 point spread for a 4v2, etc). That way players who don't like to quit will get Mercy Ruled faster and get the game over with. Of course, I don't even know when the Mercy Rule even kicks in any more. I've been dropped into some severely lopsided games where a functioning Mercy Rule should have been called and wasn't.

Me too. Got spawned in a match against a team of 4 with 3 minutes left and down 20+ points (out of 50). They all had supers and heavy collected. So fonrincate you Bungholia for your incompetency.
