So I have some questions about FFXV
I bought FFXV on release day, not knowing much about it. Boy, what a mistake that was.
I didn't watch the anime or the movie, so I was utterly confused within 2 hours. Combined with pacing issues, I had no idea what was going on, who was who, and what I was fighting for. I returned the game in February, unfinished.
After seeing some letsplays on YouTube, and the full story in bits and pieces, I clearly didn't give the game a chance. It looks great. Combined with the expanded universe trailer, and the DLC's, I want to get back into it.
I'm considering a fresh start. Personally, I want to wait for a Switch version, that way it won't eat up too much of my time. But that's either unlikely or it'll be out next year.
I know with all the changes they made, like Chapter 13, and some Story DLC, is the original game untouched? Do you get to play the additional stuff after you finish, or are they incorporated into the game?
And to fill myself in, what should I watch first? Brotherhood or Kingsglaive?

6 RepliesI did watch the anime on YT, but not the movie. I was confused on who some people were, but I still loved it all. This was also my first FF game. The Gladiolus DLC isn't really needed, but you do get a cool heavy sword for the main game. The Prompto DLC is needed for some back story. It is also a decent length at around 2-3 hours for only $5. It really mixes of the gameplay so it doesn't feel like the main game. You also get a really good gun and some new clothing for Prompto that doesn't have bad stats either. I really recommend playing it agin, especially if you never finished it. It gets better after the half way mark when it gets more linear.
