I also passed on the D2 after all the negative feedback I read about it and continue playing Destiny 1 instead.

Take the feedback you see on these forums with a grain of salt (including mine). The games has its problems but overall it's pretty awesome. People tend to blow the negatives out of proportion and undersell the positives. In my opinion it's much better than D1...but don't listen to me. Make up your own mind. At the very least, even if you don't like it you'll get 30 or 40 hours worth of entertainment out of it.

Me too, If Bungie patches their game to a standard that is good enough for me i'll hop in. Thats either at the DLCs 1..or 2. Most likely Y2 or Y3. Or....D3.

Nope. It's still Destiny. If you were expecting it to be anything other than Destiny then your going to be disappointed. My opinion for what it's worth (not much) is that it's a big improvement over the first game. I'm having fun and am not bored of it yet. Not that you'll care. You seem to have made up your mind your not going to like it already.

Honestly to me it seems like you won't miss much. If I were you, I would keep up with later updates and when they add something cool or change something for the better, buy it.

Only people hung up on ability/super spam and special weapons are butthurt about it. Drops are good. I haven't done anything but nightfalls on one toon and my light is climbing. Exotic drop rates from public seem pretty good, that's something that wasn't an option in D1. Legendaries seem to drop often as well. Strikes aren't that great but they're 140 power and don't have a modifier ATM to increase difficulty, I'm sure that'll arrive soon, it is after all only week 3. There's more content than there was at the release of Destiny in 2014. Iron Banana will be here very soon. Yet another avenue to earn gear and raise your light level. Supers are awesome, especially the Titan. As it is you can earn high level gear in public events, lost sector loot and PvP. Oh, the drops also scale to your light level, so as a 285 I'm getting 280 blues and 280 legendary package. The drops will get better, it's no worse than vanilla, some folks just have rose tinted glasses on had it and it seems their memories have gotten a bit fuzzy and covered in cobwebs. Try it before you buy it. Borrow it from a friend or go play a it at their house.Don't let salty folks make up your mind for you.

As a PVE player with no interest on PVP, Destiny 2 seems like a major step backwards, which is why I skipped on it and continue playing Destiny 1.

So as a 285....that's trying to obtain a higher level....you're getting 280s and 285s....but the drops are good.....mkay.
