Bullied in Guided Games
I didn't have anyone to do the NF with, so I tried the guided game option. I got on with two other players that sounded like they were from South Africa by their accents. They revived each other but when I died they called me a SH*T player among other vulgarities. I quit the game only to find out I BROKE THE GUARDIAN OATH!
You can't talk to a human being at Bungie, you can report them to Xbox for all the good that will do, and I get penalized because I don't want to be verbally berated through a game! I know I could mute them but the damage is done, you can't un-hear something and go on playing, at least I can't!

2 RepliesLooks like your new to video games, people can be rude all they want.. it's why they implemented a little function called "report" could have just muted them and finished the nightfall instead of quitting and crying on the forums Now you're the one with the penalty for leaving and it only looks bad on you and if I saw that you had no score on guided games I wouldn't accept you now for my clan runs.

1 Reply@DeeJ @Cozmo See what this is saying? This is saying that the Guiders, not the Guidees, are the ones who need to set the example or fall under the heavy eye of moral scrutiny. Not the guidee. They're already in deep shit, being the least experienced. Don't punish them for it. I'm really sorry that Guided Games sucks, hopefully they remove penalties until they make a [i]working[/i] system.

That's not how guided games are suppose to work. I hope you reported them so they will never, ever, ever be a guide again. If they are not mature, helpful, curteous and patient, they have no business being guides.

Don't let them ruin it for you, sure we make talk smack but never demoralized a person for not knowing or being "strong enough" for an event or activity

If you're short of players to run this sort of content with, then my clan would be more than happy to help. Most of us admins started in D1 clan together and have played consistently for about 3 years on this and other games. Good peoples always welcome!

Does seem like guardian oath needs to be tweaked, quitting when fireteam is unhelpful or abusive shouldn't penalize you.

Playing with unsavory people certainly isn't fun and you absolutely shouldn't be penalized for quitting. That feature should be removed. But grow up. They're literally words from people you have never met and never will meet again.

You're going to have to accept that everyone's not nice and not be so sensitive to what anonymous strangers say if you want to continue to play online. Or only play with people you know if you're too tender. Sucks but that's never going to change.

Sorry to hear about your Guided Game experience. If you could've recorded the interactions then maybe some action could be taken against the two individuals. However, in future, it is best to mute nasty individuals at your earliest convenience. Please try to ignore all the blatantly obvious trolls who've responded to your post. I wish you much better luck in your future Guided Games. I'd like to believe that the majority of players engaging in the Guided Game program are nice people.

Mike, you will get that in any game out right now. Just ignore them and have fun. If you had a ps4 i would run you through with my clan. We do get vulgar but not towards people on our team. Hope you find a good group.

Yes that's going to happen, please calm down, I'd rather have the option of guided games without the chance of hearing vulgarity vs no matchmaking at all, this is the optional matchmaking we've all asked for, sry to hear you had a bad experience, but give another chance, I guarantee you will make friends along the way.

If we had a rating system, which then reflected on the clans, that sort of behaviour might stop.
