I'm a loyal fan and I love Destiny from the bottom of my heart. But Bungie..

Your raid is garbage. I can't believe I'm saying that either. In D1, no matter how hard it was at first, I never [i]disliked[/i] an activity. I just realized I had to be better, and get a better team. I loved all the raids. I didn't have a favorite. Skolas included. But Leviathan? Dude. You sit there and you work your ass off trying to beat the encounters only for you to be rewarded with tokens and glimmer. ... [b][i][u]TOKENS. ARE. NOT. RAID. LOOT.[/u][/i][/b] I don't care what bougie ass vendor you put in the tower, if I do the -blam!-ing raid, I want the encounters to [b][i][u]DROP -blam!-ING RAID LOOT. AT A HIGHER LIGHT LEVEL. THAT'S WHAT I DO THE RAID FOR.[/u][/i][/b] I don't do it to get tokens, go to a vendor, and get raid loot below my light level. Come on, guys. Really? And why remove checkpoints? Yes, there are "checkpoints" but not really. You still have to start at the beginning and do the standards encounter to get to where you were. And yeah you could use the underbelly part of the ship as a shortcut but it's still requiring an unneeded part of effort. There was nothing wrong with the way checkpoints worked in D1. And as for the final boss.. Oh my lord. This fat -blam!-er has been the bane of my existence for the past 12 hours. And it's not even me or my team. It's filled with glitches that force a wipe. At first, when I read about it, I thought it was a bunch of unlucky folk but this [b][i][u]is a serious problem.[/u][/i][/b] Let me just name a few. Not seeing an emblem on Fatty's forehead Getting launched [b][u]sideways[/u][/b] in the shadow realm Flying over the barrier for [b][i]no reason.[/i][/b] Psion Bubbles still on the DPS plates Getting teleported into the shadow realm. Then dying for no reason. I could go on. Listen. I know you guys know how to do better. These are the main problems that I think need to be fixed. *Make rewards more frequent and worthwhile. Remove the token system from raids. *Bring back [i]real[/i] checkpoints. I get that you guys probably made Leviathan the way it was so groups could explore it every time they loaded in, but let's be honest; groups will stop giving two shits about the underbelly by the time the 1st DLC hits. I liked progressing through a raid and thoroughly exploring each section I got to. King's fall and Wrath and VoG do this really well. *More bosses. Make encounters difficult, but not tedious. I do not have very much fun getting Calus to his DPS phase. But Aksis and Atheon? Great examples of fun mechanics. *Polish it before you release it. There's no excuse to why there's so many bugs. And that's about it. I really hope you bring the fun factor back in, and add a real loot system. WoTM is a great example of how raid loot should work. Please.   • The chests are really quite pointless too, to be fairly honest. You could get away with skipping one of the parts and still get the same amount of loot as with doing everything. Also, sometimes even the chests after completing a part won't give anything at all. The bugs are also annoying as heck, like in the Pleasure Gardens. The beasts shouldn't be able to see the two prism holders, but occasionally they will, and you might as well wipe then. The beasts also sometimes glitch into the room with the spores, so you get found right at the start. Seriously, bungo, I'm playing your game a lot, it's a lot of fun, but ya gotta fix these things. It's starting to kill off our interest. [spoiler]also please stabilize those servers I don't want to get kicked again[/spoiler]

  • I agree with you completely about some things here. Loot should be dropping in the raid not from a vendor after the raid. The drop seeing the rocket from the raid after gauntlet gave me that wow factor that the raid drops are supposed to have. Not just a chest that has coins or glimmer

  • You can get loot drops on each section and the tokens are for more loot and the exotic quest, js. Glimmer chests are worthless af tho

  • What makes it worse, is that the first raid in D1 was excellent. Yeah it had glitches, but it had the correct number of boss encounters, it made you want to redo it again and again. D2 raid, I'm done with it, and only got as far as Calus. The desire to do this raid is not there because it's a pathetic piece of end game material. The reward system is poor. Tokens. That you cant use until you beat a glitched boss. No thanks. Honeymoon period is over now.

      I feel like the raid is filled with glitches or whatever ESPECIALLY during the dogs (good god the dog glitches) and Ghaul In fact LAST NIGHT I was doing Ghaul and got sent back to his room from the shadow realm only to have him immediately shoot us on the first plate? It needlessly -blam!-ed us on a good try I also have a clip of it :~/ Edit: meant Calus not Ghaul... oops...

      • I can't believe you're saying that either. It's only been the first week of the raid. I didn't encounter any of those Callus bugs though, so I can sympathize with that part, but everything else you said could be said about every other raid (excluding the checkpoint thing, but you already understand why they set that up the way they did) in its first week.

      • I am personally baffled by the request for more raid bosses. Crota has one raid boss. Vault has 2, and everyone used to cheese the Templar and then folks Gjallied it to hell first phase. Oh and people used to cheese the Templar as well. Not anymore. So I guess one raid boss then? Kings Fall has three but the War Priest is barely a boss. He's on the level of a strike boss. Rise of Iron has essentially 2 bosses with 2 part fights. Am I missing something here? How many bosses is this raid supposed to have? I think one makes more sense. I don't see what adding a boss to any of the encounters in the Leviathan will add, actually.

        I loved Destiny 1 raids a whole whole lot, but... [b]This raid is absolute trash in comparison to Destiny 1 raids (exception Crota's End). [/b] It is overly complex for no reason whatsoever [b](mainly due to bugs and RNG)[/b], just so the designers (I'm assuming) can feel high and mighty when earning their paychecks (hey guys, look how hard I made this, give me money because I'm smart). The Raid story also holds no story value like the originals. [b]Seriously, it was all for nothing, he was a stupid -blam!-ing robot. [/b] At least we got to kill (supposedly) the Taken King! [b]The Raid is, plain and simply put, not fun in the slightest [/b](except for underbelly exploration the first time and maybe the gauntlet), and the rewards are shit. Vault of Glass, King's Fall, Wrath and even the Crota Strike were better than this nonsense (specifically VoG, which is my fave forever). The Raid needs severe changes immediately as it stands. [b]They need to bring in better raid designers the next go around. [/b] [i]I want to add, with the way PvP is now and with how crappy progression and investment design are, I don't see this game lasting very long like vanilla D1 did without some major changes on both the game and the development end. At least vanilla D1 was actually fun in a lot of different activities, and had some semblance of progression (like Grimoire).[/i] [b]Final Note, not having Customs, Rumble and only two PvP playlists is inexcusable.[/b]

          I have to agree. I raid to get cool looking armor, guns with useful perks, and high light level gear. Compared to VoG, the weapons are kind of trash, though the HC does sound pretty good. The Armor looks pretty cool, but I'm lucky to get one piece to drop. And if I use the tokens, its normally a duplicate at a lower light level. What I got from 1 raid (12 hours to finish): SMG, Titan Mark. What I got from my tokens: Titan Arms, Titan Mark. Edit: Forgot to mention my clan engram was glitched, so I didn't get that either.

          • The Raid isn't absolute trash. You know what is? The "loot" from the Raid. Literally I get duplicates of Raid gear and a tokens because for Bungie, apparently it's too hard to throw in more loot than have it in the Raid.

              • Meh, maybe i got lucky, or im dumb or easy to please. But i enjoyed the raid. Loved the mechanics. Even without good loot i would have been happy. Plus calus gave everyone in my crew great drops. I really like the tokens. Feels like a guarenteed loot almost. Or maybe i just found it entertaining that a sweeper bot gave me raid loot. Oh well. To each their own. Wish you the best OP.

              • I like the raid. It had variety, difficulty, and teamwork. And the underbelly 👌 However, the bugs are a HUGE problem. So is the loot. So is the (raid) token system. So is the key system. Nobody will do the raid if there's no gear incentive. Nobody is going in the underbelly for an hour after a raid for four hours to unlock a chest that has a chance of loot.
