1 Replythe tweet reeks of d baggery, though i agree with its sentiment. The lighthouse should only be for the best players, and i say that never having been to the lighthouse. But until bungle starts dropping the ban hammer on streamers who blatantly flout their terms of service by charging for carries that won't be the case. it will also still be a joke of "top tier pvp" until there are servers and the whole player to player system is scrapped. Not talking about lag but latency. in real high end game play that quarter to half second makes all the difference.

2 RepliesThis is the "try strikes" guy, if he's anything to base the PvP team off then Bungie's ego is massive when it comes to their multiplayer crew. I don't have much respect towards him at least. Either way I [i]do[/i] respect their decision to make the lighthouse hard to obtain. But trials is in no way perfect and plenty of [i]above[/i] average people are being screwed by the types who either cheat, lag, or have infinite time devoted to Destiny. The current trials system is a washed up skill based one. They need to stop being so indecisive and either go back to year one or put in a true skill based system. Because if we are being honest, trials is super unbalanced. One or two games (max) on a card are actually a challenge for the types who go to the lighthouse often (if they aren't handicapping themselves and playing serious).

There is a 1-2 sec delay for players who are not host. If you deny this is an advantage, you are a moron. If you deny that this takes away from the skill in the game, you are a moron. There are ways to manipulate being host so that you can be the one that sees people before they see you, but thats no fun either. If anyone calls trials competitive, they are stupid. The lead crucible developer is a jackass that probably sucks at the game. Trials has nothing to do with skill. Its more like: which team has the host, and how good is their connection?

1 ReplyI played trials a decent amount when it first came out with HoW. Went to the lighthouse a few times and haven't played it again since year 1. It should be a competitively ranked activity... and since it's not you get extreme mismatches which sometimes lead to people being reported out of spite. And when you get a really good team in there you might as well just line up the tomato cans and throw in one, maybe two, other teams that will give them an actual match.

This guy is an idiot and a tool. I was inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt regarding the Last Exit code fiasco, but this has proven that the man is a joke. Shame hes in charge of pvp.

1 Reply...and then they limit the gear from the gold package to 390. Thanks for that Bungie. I like playing trials with my clan mates to get the bounties, but are never likely to go flawless. Now they cap bounties at 390 and only give year 2 gear. Thats another activity removed from the playlist for me.

I love when this gets brought up so I can see all the players bitch about how many streamers there are and how many carries happen. Do you all realize how big this game is? You really think that carries are such a big deal when about half a million to a million million individual accounts play trials every weekend? Yep there are totally enough players to carry 100,000 players to the lighthouse every weekend. Trials of Osiris is functioning exactly how it needs to. The matchmaker is built around a good idea and it is legitimately a decent challenge for even those of us that are pretty good. Just because you buy the game doesn't mean you are automatically entitled to being skillful enough to accomplish everything and the game doesn't need changed to accommodate your special snowflake mentality

11 RepliesYep so much effort designing 2 sets of armour for each class,2 sets of weapons with a different paint jobs & adept perks. All of that for the snallest portion of players. Only 1% of players have even played trials. It needs optional matchmaking to bring in fresh blood & more good pvp players that dont have teams. How can you claim to be the best when nobody is playing.

Fundamentally, I think he's right. I have never tried trials because I know I am not good enough to do well, and my regular buddies are also not particularly good at PvP - all of us know the lighthouse is not for us. I wish that more of the in game rewards were harder to get (I'm thinking about how they changed the Thorn bounty so you now can't lose progress in the crucible part).

I congratulate anyone who went flawless. No doubt I've helped you at some point. I'll never see the lighthouse. Too old and too slow. I might do Trials every so often, just for the bounties. In the end shouldn't a game be about fun. If it makes you angry, just don't play.

6 RepliesProbably not the best way he could have phrased it - but I kinda agree that trials has been created to cater too an 'elite'. I have run it many times & have only got to 5/6 wins then have just come across an outstanding team that wipes the floor with my fireteam. Trials focuses on a particular type of gameplay - the hang back & snipe followed by the rush. At times the maps will favour shotguns over snipers, but that tends to be the standard formula gameplay from what I have experienced. With my terrible K/D I do not expect to go flawless - the armor & ornaments have been created to reward the best (or those that opt to find an easier route). What's annoying is that a lot of content is specifically focussed on completing a flawless run. For example completing a raid in PVE does not grant access to a dedicated social space - do people feel this is balanced? Be good to know

2 RepliesThey need to learn to write a better code for pvp. This shit of people being allowed to cheat has to stop. It drives me -blam!-ing insane. Got two cheating teams tonight. Their is so much wrong with this game in pvp, someone will one day write a book on how bad these people are at coding this game and allowing cheaters to continue to thrive and benefit. I think we all need to just start cheating. I don't know how its done. But sense bungie don't care and if you know how its done. Please let me know. I'll start doing double carries on the weekends on a bunk account, stream my douche bagness and bring in some extra cash so I can vape.
