About The Sunbreaker.....

To everyone begging to get the Sunbreaker nerfed, hear me out, there is something I want to put into perspective for you. First, I've been a titan main since the beta. So, I know what I'm talking about. It's no secret that titans were, by far, the weakest class for PvP in Year One. We were laughed at when looking for Trials teams. The only thing Fist of Havoc was good for was as a Counter-super. But listen to this, because of people complaining about what the "Fist of Panic" was used for, Bungie nerfed it, but didn't tell anyone. In Update 2.0, Bungie nerfed the bonus armor you get mid Fist of Havoc. Since the update, I've been killed by shotguns mid FoH. Because of all the innate problems with the Striker subclass, no titan in their right mind would use it in PvE, which means that all you see in PvE is Defenders, severely limiting how titans can play. No Titan in their right mind would use defender in PvP (Unless doing that infinite orb strat). Which severely limits the way a Titan can be played. Now, because of the stealth nerf, the only reason to even play a titan, was void. Warlocks could shut down supers better. Now here comes TTK. Each class gets a new subclass. Hunters get a supportive class, one they really needed to be truly helpful in PvE (not bashing PvE bladedancers, I'm just saying). Warlocks got subclass that allows for insane add clearing and great boss dps; all with out having to get close, unlike the other close range supers. Titans got a range class that lets them clear adds well and do good boss dps. Because of the way the hammer travels in an arc and has travel time, the titan has been gifted with extra armor, to allow it to survive. Now that I've gotten that out, lets talk a little more about the subclass itself. Every perk in the subclass is about making our super better. We don't have perks that increase our gun play or overall pace like hunters, or ridiculous ability regen like warlocks. Every 4-5 mins, we get to kill some people. Other than that, it's like the titan still hasn't changed. Imagine, if your class has been shafted since the launch of the game, getting the worst exotics, the worst looking gear, joke subclasses for pvp and only one option for pve. Then, by the Grace of God, you finally get a subclass that lets you preform like the others, a subclass that isn't a joke. And, just as you are getting the hang of it, learning your limits. People go up in arms to get it nerfed. This subclass, that you have been waiting for since launch, is getting nerfed, and there is nothing you can do about it because Bungie doesn't listen to the little guys, they listen to who whines the most. So, we sit, we wait. Think about this as well, what about PvE? Sunbreaker doesn't do any better than any other subclass in PvE, so what then? PvE players get shafted too? Anyways, sorry for the length and thank you to everyone who read it all. As a close, Bungie, if you nerf the subclass, PLEASE, don't hit it to hard. No one wanted to be a titan in year one, don't make that happen again.

    Was it well deserved? Yes. Is it a bit much to deal with? Yes. Regardless of previous classes, no new subclass deserves to be overpowered. Think about it, you have range and close up, with proximity, and INSANE armor. I'm not for the Stormcaller nerf though, which we all know is gonna happen after Sunbreaker nerf. Edit: Concerning the exotic gear for year 1, Titan's had TONS of great gear. -Helm of Saint 14 -Helm of Inmost Light -The Glasshouse -Ruin Wings (aesthetically) -The Armamentarium -Chest of Alpha Lupi Hunter -Achlyophage Symbiote -Celestial Nighthawk -Mask of the Third Man -Don't Touch Me -Crest of Alpha Lupi -I guess maybe Bones of Eao, very limited use I only compared Titan and Hunter because I don't exactly like the Warlock
