I am pretty sure it is. A friend of mine is convinced it is not. Please help by giving your opinion Edit: If you say no, please give your reasoning. I would like to understand why you feel this way

  • Yes and no, though catholics believe in God and believe that Jesus is the son if God and that Jesus died on the cross and came back to life three days later, and then went to heaven, catholics do have one major technical stain when looking at the bible. This mainly has to do with their pope, the pope is said to never be wrong (at least in accordance with Catholic doctrine), the pope also tends to be given a very high station, usually above that of regular people (said to be closer to God). However this does go against many things in the bible. So it depends on each persons definition of what it means to be christian. If the only requirement for being Christian is what i stated earlier (about Jesus) then yes catholics are Christian, but if your definition of Christian is more to dd with following the Bible and believing in everything stated earlier, then Catholics may not fall into the category of Christian. I for one can not say for curtain because i am not God, i do not have infinite knowledge, and therefor i can not pretend to make a final judgement. For me personally i view this kind of thing more in degrees, so for me Catholicism is on the edge of Christianity due to putting a human close to the position of God (only God can not be wrong).
