Does lag in PvP bother you?

Of course it does. Apparently not for Bungie. Why does this issue seem like a small problem when it comes to Destiny reading through the forums? I saw more complaints about Vault Space than half of the game (PvP) being broken. My question is basically if it obviously bothers you then why aren't you complaining about it? Make some noise. Bungie can't evade this issue forever!! This should be the nr 1 discussed topic in the forums! We paid money for a game that is broken and 2 expansions later it's still broken! Personally I really like PvP (on the rare occasions that it works fine) but the experience is ruined when most of the matches are laggy. I know for certain now that there will be a red bar in every single match on the opposing team that will end up top and be hard to kill. Destiny is the most laggy game I've played in my life. Trying to improve your skills in this game is pointless when 90% of the times you die is not fair game. Btw before anyone says it, no it's not my connection that sucks. I have 100 down and 10 up. 4ms ping. Fiber using cable not WiFi. I have also conducted a small survey on people who lagged and the info they gave me regarding their internet speeds were ridiculous. Some dude with 3 mb speed on WiFi. Another one had 300+ in ping. The biggest reason it lags is because a lot of people have extremely bad internet speeds. Dedicated servers might help but I honestly believe that Bungie should just matchmake those with bad connection against each other and let the rest of us enjoy pvp as it is meant. Edit: Halo 5 Guardians will be on dedicated servers. Feel like jumping ship when it comes out. For how long will Destiny be a mediocre pvp experience compared to other competitive games out there? Damnit, Bungie! Fix this issue now!

  • My problem is that i have reallyyyyy fast internet, 100 to 150 down, 60 up and around a 13ms ping and very little jitter. So i always see people lagging, with thier slow upload not updating the server with where they are. Bungie really needs to modify how much data is transmitted per packet or use a different compression codec. I monitor the router/modem and see that it is huge amounts being sent. Honestly the only way at this point to fix this is if everyone got a much faster internet, or bungie figured out a way to compress the info packets down some more. For now though, we all just have to enjoy a terrible pvp experience when you match with slow players...
