A little concerned on class specific items and quest. But overall, I am excited!

Urgent question on light level and a second on etheric lights; 1) since light level is bound to a certain load out of armor you wear, how will they determine existing player's light level to experience level? 2) I've heard from another admin etheric lights will be discontinued altogether, will we still be able to year one max items or are those items that have already been maxed be the only items that can be maxed from that point on? Also what will happen to that upgrade perc on already existing items, will it disappear and item be considered maxed with out it or can those items then never be completely maxed out?

Not all change is for the better. Just because they gave us the ability to ascend weapons and gear in HoW didn't cause the new stuff to remain unused. In fact, a lot of the new weapons have replaced the old. What irritates me, and will probably cause me to lose interest in the game, is the fact that Bungie is not allowing us the option to continue to choose, or not, to ascend old weapons and gear. This is still only the first Destiny game. We should be able to make the choice in what we want to use. Offer us your new legendaries but give us the freedom to decide to use them or upgrade old items. That would be the decision that would most respect the players. Sadly, I don't see them doing that.

The main issue I have with the Taken King announcement it the Year One stuff not being able to be brought up to the new level 40 cap. Bungie got such hish press when the introduced the way to make purple stuff usable again (including the VoG). I am at a loss as to WTF they are thinking taking 2 steps back from what they discovered players wanted. Before that announcement, I had planned to get the Taken King because it seemed Bungie was finally moving in the right direction with the House of Wolves, but they completely alienated me as a customer with the changes they are making.

My body is ready!!! -blam!- yeah I'm glad this finally happened! It's about time it feels more like an MMO with Guns than a repetitive mission. =3 I'm hyped! The only thing that needs to change is rewards for those who excel more than the others in terms of Headshot Ratio and Mission Completion Ratio based on how many deaths, how many rounds used and how fast they completed it. I think that would be great for solo players who look for good rewards in this game instead of having to find it or cheat it out. I just hope you can implement something like this in the future, but the way things are going, it might surely turn out that way.

So basically, this just eliminates any resemblance the game had to its original state last September. I was fine with some of the earlier changes, but this has gone too far, it's not even the same game anymore. I quit a while ago after learning of TTK initially and am definitely not returning now.

There are a lot of cool stuff showing there like At 0:16 you can see the 347 Vesta Dynasty At 0:52 there is some kind of new exotic too, the fire version of the Thunderlord. And there might be some other stuff I missed.

Can you edit your post to say that, "Our new LEVEL cap has been announced to be level 40." In this way your avoiding saying that light will be the contributing level factor.
