Just got the matador 64 from iron banner drop , re rolled it a few times and I'm currently sat with rangefinder and final round .
What's the best set up for a pvp shotgun ?

The matador 64 can be the best possible pvp shotgun with the right perk roll. Currently, that god tier roll is aggressive ballistics/shot package/rifled or reinforced barrel/kneepads.

[spoiler]Wall of text incoming[/spoiler] Some perks depend on whether you like faster shooting shotguns or slower shooting shotguns. Slow shooting shotguns: [b][u]SHOT PACKAGE[/u][/b] If you are like me and have never been bothered with slow shooting shotties then you always want to roll [b][u]Shot Package.[/u][/b] [b][u]Shot Package[/u][/b] keeps the pellets closer together giving you a better chance to finish the job in one trigger pull which is always the aim with a low RoF. Not only that but SP low-key gives a noticeable boost to the total range of each shot because the pellets virtually have no spread, although that doesnt mean it has the effect as rangefinder which doesnt boost the total range of the pellets, but the EFFECTIVE range, meaning the damage falloff is reduced (i.e. if a shotgun has a total range 10 feet, and each individual pellet in a round does 50 damage when shot at point blank, 30 damage from 5 feet away, and 15 damage from 10 feet with out RF, with RF it might be something like 50 from point blank, 40 from 5 feet, and 30 from 10 feet. The constants in both situations being point blank damage is 50 and all damage is minuscule, if not completely gone after 10 feet). [b][u]FIELD CHOKE[/u][/b] Pretty much a no brainer here, on a low RoF shotgun the idea is to be able to kill from as far away as possible in one trigger pull, and to do that you need impact, and range. [b][u]Field Choke[/u][/b] gives you a 5% boost to impact, and a 12 point increase to range, the highest boost available, but with a 15 point penalty to stability, but because the RoF is low, you have plenty of time to manually re-adjust before your next shot so you do not need stability... at all. Another viable option here would be [b]Accurized Ballistics[/b], giving you a 5% increase in impact, 10 point increase to range and a 10 point penalty to stability. [b][u]RIFLED BARREL[/u][/b] Since we cant get hammer forged or send it any more this is a pretty easy choice as well. Improves range, Lowers stability. Cut an dry. [b][u]LUCK IN THE CHAMBER[/u][/b] The last slot is roll is really just your personal preference. I like luck in the chamber for the added damage to the one random round. [b]Grenadier[/b] is a viable option as well, or maybe [b]battle runner[/b], or [b]close and or personal[/b], it really just depends on your play-style. High RoF Shotguns i wont go to into much detail about, because i fell low RoF shotguns are better, but basically you want the highest Impact, Range AND Stability possible. A good roll might look something like: [b]Smooth[/b]/[b]Accurized Ballistics[/b]/[b]Field Choke[/b](if you're brave lol) [b]Full-Auto[/b] [b]Send It[/b](Pre-DLC)/[b]Hammer Forged[/b](Pre-DLC)/[b]Rifled Barrel[/b]/[b]Reinforced Barrel[/b]/maybe [b]Smallbore[/b] and this one is personal preferenc, [b]Shot package[/b](is Shot Package possible with Full-Auto?)/[b]Luck in the Chamber[/b]/[b]Grenadier[/b][b]Battle Runner[/b]/[b]Close and or Personal[/b] My thoughts on the subject, all of which are opinions. TL;DR: WANT BIG IMPACT FOR MUCH HURT, BIG RANGE FOR FAR AWAY HURT, NO NEED STABLE.

Aggressive Ballistics Shot Package Rifled or Reinforced Barrel Those are the must haves in my opinion. The final skill is pretty flexible but the best ones are: Battle Runner/Kneepads/Final Round/Luck in The Chamber

right now I'm using a shotgun with shot package and the thing that makes you run faster after a kill. it also has plus 2 agility when held

Range finder or shot package, range finder works better on higher impact shotguns as you can kill at longer ranges and not have to land every pellet, lower impact shotguns shot package is better, aggressive ballistics gives a 10% damage increase but lowers the range, field choke gives a 5% damage increase pulse 5% range increase for barrels, the mode that increases range but lowers stability because shotguns in reality don't need stability, luck in the chamber or kneepads for the last perks.

Personally, I prefer Rangefinder over Shot Package. Throw in some rifled barrel or small bore with luck in the chamber for good measure.

Shot package, final round. Plus any middle range perk. Once you get down to 1 bullet left just single reload your shotgun to have final round every time

Shot package, aggressive ballistics, and here's the special part. Base mag size is 4 and with smallbore (drops mage size but more range+impact), it will drop to 2 or 3 mag size and with luck in the chamber either a 33.3% or 50% change of that extra damage!

Rifled barrel/any other range modifier + Shot package, doesn't really matter after that. As long as it's got max range and shot package it will wreck houses. I want one with battle runner though, that looks like fun.
