We've all been there. Trying to beat Skolas and ending up spending more time in the airlock waiting for the synths to cool down than actually fighting Skolas.
Sign here to get Bungie to notice that this is a problem that they need to fix in order for the end game content to continue to be fun and rewarding.
Edit: Any ideas that you guys have for this please put in the comments, I'm seeing some pretty good alternatives. Hopefully Bungie will take notice.

Great idea! It should also each have their own timer. Where I can take special and heavy at once but still wait for the following special or heavy. Ya dig?

Obviously.

Yes!!!!!!

Should be primary no cooldown. Special 2 mins and heavy 5 mins. And all time cut in half upon a wipe

Edited by Zoop: 5/29/2015 10:40:26 AMThing is, you arent supposed to just spam heavy on him and skip the entire battle's mechanics. You are just asking to make cheezing easier > not going to happen. Sure, its the most safe method and ive done the same, but its clear its not meant to be played like that. This is like asking for a special ammo box on the Templar ledge, because you run out of sniper too easily without an IceBreaker. See where im getting at? Normally you would never need that much heavy, constantly. Even for Crota, there's more ways to down him. But everyone want to spam ghorns, so its back to synths or heavy glitching. Dont expect any changes, if any, it should probably get nerfed to promote legit gameplay more (i wouldnt like that, just being realistic here).

Edited by BIGwillestylz: 5/29/2015 11:41:12 AMI don't agree with you. However, I think We should be able to pop a special and heavy synth at the same time.
-
I want the cool downs for different ammo synth to be different. For example, I would like to use secondary and heavy synth at the same time
-
I'd prefer a separate synth timer per ammo type.
-
No because guardians would cheese it with a self-res from a warlock and consider it a timeout for failing to complete the mission. It really isn't that long and goes quickly with a phone, tablet, or laptop nearby.
-
I posted the same recently. It makes ZERO sense to have a timer when not in combat. Its absolutely pointless. Signed.

Ok, this is my idea. When u have your ghost out hold L2 for special synth, hold R2 for heavy synth. Problem solved. In fact u should be able to "hotkey" 2 consumables in these slots. Just saying :)
-
Or you could quit being a little bitch and use other weapons instead of just heavy. It would be stupid easy if i could use a heavy synth then go and wipe really quick to reset my cool down.
-
LFG lvl 35 warlocks to self-rez heavy ammo glitch skolas...
#satire
-
Can't fix what isn't broken only improve upon it
-
-
Why not have the game auto use synthesis when one is available when the weapon in your hands is empty?
-
Stupid. Stop trying to make the game easier then bitch a week later that it is to easy. Grow up beat it legit or stop playing. The game is good how it is.

No time limits on synth use in PoE it's difficult enough already without time wasting waiting for cool downs!!! We want enjoyable games with varied and effective weaponry that are readily available and not god given in some cruel lottery while grinding for hours to satisfy your lust for player hours on your laggy servers!!!

There shouldn't be a cooldown at all. It's my ammo, dammit. You don't go to war and not use the ammo on you because you're reloading too quickly. This mechanic is almost as stupid as the waiting portion of the elder cipher bounty.
-
I think the cooldown should immediately reset when you go back to the airlock.
-
Boring and painfull should not be part of your game design.
-
Stupidly difficult should not be part of the game plan.

It's a great idea, but i think it'll take the fun away at some point especially if u can do it outside of PoE also......Imagine being on a team that demands a mandatory wipe after each checkpoint. I can easily see some players doing that on Septiks Prime strike for example. 1. Load up at the start, then go trigger happy. 2. Wipe, respawn and reload. 3. After the wave, wipe and reload b4 facing the tank. 4. Wipe, respawn and reload 5. 24 missiles going back to back in Prime's eye socket......lmao, i would quit
