Should Raid have a maximum entry level ?

Yes, I agree Raid need a Maximum Level

No, I want to run Vault Of Glass as a level 34

The Raid should have a minimum level to enter AND a Maximum level. i.e. disallow people from entering a Raid if they have a level higher than the max Raid Level : Benefits : - All Raid Armor and Weapon are still relevant for that given raid - People must be skilled to finish the raids (no level 32 doing a level 30 raid) - Bungie Content never get old. Edit: why people are answering with potential glitch/abuse ? imagine it is well implemented with mechanism preventing to equip gears that will make you above level cap like the one that prevent you to equip 2 exotics..

  • the levels are maxed out anyway, a level 32 doing hard VOG does the same damage as a level 30

The raids do have a minimum level to join. A max level is absurd. Minimum is the right way to do it. I'd take it a step further and say Vanguard gear should only get you to 29 an the only way to enter VoG would be with a max set of Vanguard or Faction gear at level 29. Faction would get you to the level under the cap, 31 currently. Then, make it so people couldn't enter the next raid if they don't have a completely leveled set of raid or Iron Banner gear that meets the level cap, which is currently 32. Finally, make it so people cannot start a hard raid unless they have 20 normal mode completions. I just wanted something a little more exclusive than what you came up with. Something that you don't qualify for. : )

You know for the most part there is no difference in a 30 and a 32 in vog. What I mean is both 30 and 32 are 2 shot kill by snipers, same number of gatekeeper hits to die and same number of petorian hits to die so really no difference and since the game has enemies do a min amount of dam

      • So I'll just switch gear when I load in? Just like you can match make with worse players by putting on bad gear in crucible and then swapping in match.

This doesnt make any logical sense. Havent you noticed that running roc strikes at 30 and 32 really doesnt make a difference? Damage gets capped to prevent people that are grossly overlevelled from plowing through everything. So um.....why shouldnt a level 34 be allowed to go in?

      • What it should be is if you are a lvl 32 in a lvl 30 raid there is no benefit to you from a damage or health standpoint, you deal and can take the same amount of damage/health as a lvl 30 person.

      • Take the long view. This is a progression issue. There will need to be entry-level raids for people coming up, and there will be weapons and armor that are surpassed by superior pieces. There will never be enough room to store everything. Some things will come even as others go.

      • You are also supposed to do the raid with level 300 weapons and Vanguard gear max 29 level, do you have any of those because I don't. I have not completed VoG yet but it is on my list of things to do. I dismantled most of my Vanguard gear when I got my CE gear so I can't go back to level 31. If Bungie wanted they could easily nerf your light level to 29. That way higher level players yield no advantage over lower level players. But if they do that then they need to do it to weapons too, and nobody is going to want that either.

      • Why would you want to limit the amount of content just because you're a high level? If you're level 34 and want to do a normal VoG that's not a big deal. Maybe you want the guns even though they're under powered. Maybe you want to take a group of new players through it. Having to knock yourself down in level for those things is crazy.

          • I'm not a Bungie Employee, but since light level is based off the armor you wear, wouldn't it be easy for players to equip weaker armor to lower their light level, start the raid, then re-equip their normal gear to have a higher level once again? Rather than trying to put a maximum level on raids, I'd much rather like to see new difficulty levels added as the cap rises that could award players with more relevant gear and materials upon their completion. And ultimately, I'm not particularly bothered if players are able to complete the raid at a much higher level than what was originally planned. There's already a mechanic in the game that tries to ensure that enemies remain relatively menacing regardless of your level (a Level 2 dreg is just as deadly as a level 20 one to my level 32 Warlock), so as long as the encounter still requires team work to complete, I don't really see a problem.

            • Captain Obvious remarked, "Just what vault will you use to hold raid gear for three raids on three characters?"
