There should be a lock button or option to keep your favorite gear from accidental deletion. There are times when I accidentally delete my stuff, although rare it happens.
-
They already made it so you have to hold the button down to trash something, and the higher level it is, the longer you have to hold the button for, giving you ample time to realise that you're making a mistake. They could tweak the system I suppose, but all you have to do is pay attention.
-
Or just pay attention to what you're doing. I've never once deleted or bought something by accident. Just pay attention and you'll be fine.
-
Or just don't be a retard.
-
borderlands 2 had a favorites and trash icon you could put on items. maybe this sort of thing. also marking the trash items you could sell/dismantle all at once.
-
I did this once. I was not happy. I have been careful since. Does not help that a lot of level 20 gear ,that you use for a long time, looks the same.
-
Or take the two seconds to LOOK at what you are gonna delete.
-
There is a time when you press the delete there's a delay of erase that depends on the quality of your gear...exotic takes longer to dismantle...
-
Or just pay attention to what you're doing?
-
Good idea
-
Just be careful? Don't mindlessly hold 'x' on your inventory screens. And you just can't accidentally dismantle an exotic, they take too long!
-
Im colourblind so sometimes my exotics look like green uncommon items, I have to be careful.
-
The exotics have a fairly long button press time. I don't really see how it could be done by accident. Maybe smoke less pot.
-
Lol. Nothing can save one from incompetence.
-
Not a bad idea. Although I don't think this is really needed.
-
Yes. Why not? Easy to do and good for exotics!
-
please do this.
-
Very good idea!!!
-
Definitely
-
To be fair, the disassemble duration should be as long on Legendaries as it is on Exotics, so that would give people enough time to realize the color isnt green or blue. Unless you're colorblind.....in which case....Damn.
-
Agree
-
Another way, would just be for all blue and green drops to shard automatically if your character has legendary equipped.
-
Brilliant idea
-
Agree to a gear lock out. Most gear based games have this feature or a similar way to prevent the trashing of stuff worth keeping

Well just an hour ago I got the exotic helm engram. I spent ALL week getting 23 motes of light, and I work a lot so that is a challenge. I was deleting green engrams from a tiger strike and hit the exotic, but seeing as how it was an engram it only took a second to delete. I JUST got the thing. It was very depressing. We need something implemented to keep this from happening. Please keep this thread going!
-
Why not put it in vault? That's what I do

Edited by O_Town_Racer: 10/31/2014 9:10:42 PMI like this suggestion. One more - can we keep specs of one armor but the "looks" of another? We can do this in DCUO. This way we can keep the high level/specs of our best armor, but keep the "looks" of the pieces we like most. In this example the locks are very important so that we can lock in styles while allowing newer/better specs to be implemented. I don't think this would work with the way the armor is currently presented, but something to think about for the next version of Destiny.
