Cattle Error
Did I get a bad copy of the game or something? I've only been able to get to the "choose your class" screen before being booted out and given the cattle error. That was only once tho. Most times it happens when I push play. I can't play offline? Seriously? And cattle?! Really? I shelled out all this money, and got up in the middle of the night, and then you have the audacity to call me cattle?! You might be right but I'll think twice before pre-ordering another game, especially bungie. I'll wait until it's thoroughly been put through it's paces before I shell out money for another bungie game. After this and BF4's joke of a release, I'm done with it. I nearly want to give up on gaming altogether when you gigantic developers pull crap like this and just shrug. I can't believe you industry @$$#0L3$ got me again with this pre-order non-sense.

Guys I know this sucks that destiny isn't working, and I'm having the same problem. I knew something like this was to be expected. Bungie has never released a big title like this before an [u]ALL[/u] platforms. So there is nothing we can do until the fix it. BTW I haven't seen and post any where from bungie saying that they were working on the problem.

2 RepliesYO SO I HAVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM TOO WHAT I DID WAS. DELETED ALL THE GAME CONTENT FOR DESTINY AS WELL AS THE UPDATE FILE AND THE APP FROM THE MENU AND REINSTALLED THE WHOLE GAME. THERE WAS A CORRUPTION DURING THE DOWNLOADS BECAUSE OF SO MANY PEOPLE TRYING TO PLAY AND PULLING ON THE SERVERS. THERE IS SUPPOSE TO BE TWO INSTALLING WINDOWS THAT COME UP ONE TO SAY TRANSFERRING GAME CONTENT AND UPDATING DESTINY GAME ONCE YOU HAVE INSTALL THE MAIN GAME ON YOUR SYSTEM GOT TO YOU DOWNLOADS AND OPEN THE UPDATE FILE AN THERE WILL BE A SYSTEM UPDATE WITHIN THERE THAT WILL START THE GAME FOR YOU AND FINISH THE PROCESS. HOPES THIS HELPS FOR YOU ALL IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS HIT ME UP SILENT_THREAT22 PS4

3 Repliesunfortunately, I have been staring at cattle for over 2 hours. I have uninstalled everything and reinstalled twice. I have reset my router/modem. Taken out the disc and popped it back in. Still getting cattle... I am frustrated, however I know everyone will play eventually. Any other suggestions from the fine folks of the forum? Is it Comcast? Thank you community

5 RepliesI would have thought the servers would have been big enough for the incoming people... go figure the west coast is among the last to get connected. Yes I'm aware of our own server but seriously how did they miss it by so much.. I've ben getting the cattle code for 20 min... in between resetting my xbox, checking the cable, pulling the plug on both the router and the 360. Still cattle. >.<

2 RepliesIf you have comcast just log in to your comcast router profile online (10.0.0 etc.) and lower your firewall security from typical to minimum security level. Worked as soon as I did that. Hopefully this helps some of you!

1 ReplyHave the same problem, started up the game without any problems. Set the charater, started the introduction and played maybe 10 min in the game until the Error Cattle code came. Have been rebooting the router, setting the port forwarding as they are recommending in the guides (have never had problem before with any other game with that settings), just saying. And still getting the Error Cattle code. By the way, living in Sweden and more of my friends have problems as well with the same error. Can´t get that BUNGIE is dropping a game after so long time and with an Beta for testing the servers. Still problems for a lot of customers/gamers out here. And on top of that, they recommend us to set our routers to different settings despite that many of us already been playing many other games on PS4/Xbox.. with no problems or do any settings. Please! Give us some kind of message about anything.

I waited in line for two half hours, I got home and the only thing I could get to was the cattle screen. I tried for 2 more hours to play and decided to go to sleep. I woke up assuming last night' s cattle issue was due to an overwhelmed server but I have been working on this now for another hour. I am feeling duped. I am able to play all my other games except Destiny. I feel completely and utterly beaten. I going to exchange my game, I hope it works. So much for my first launch being enjoyable..

If You pay 100 bucks for something it should work the first time , every time. this is BS......HALO WORKED ON DAY ONE.....all of them.

1 ReplyCOD didnt have this problem when Ghost came out. took it home and could play at midnight. East coast should not have to go to a midnight release to get the game and play it when we get home and get this error b.s., only because the west coast hasnt gotten yet........COD released and I could play right away. If those on west coast dont like it then they can move to another time zone. Otherwise its always worked out that as soon as you got it you can play. Leave it to Bungie to screw it all up.

I am in Georgia and went to the Launch at Gamestop. this is the first time I have ever gone to a pre-order launch and for 2 hours all I get is the cattle error message. I got on 2 different times only to be kicked while I am trying to create my character. the Beta went so smooth I really had high hopes to be able to play this at launch

I turned off my xbox 1. Unplugged power cord for 3 mins. Now works perfectly fine

finally got past the error by taking my disk out ... then putting it back in and retrying.
