People complained the ending was bad because it didn't give the player the ability to choose what occurred, but Naughty Dog didn't intend for the player to determine the story, simply experience it. It's a similar, albeit not exact, instance here with Bungie. They have decided how the raid experience should be experienced. What you all need to understand is that player choice, as with any aspect of gaming, has it's place. This notion that we as the player should absolutely have the option to choose any and everything bar nothing is absurd. It's childish. It's an entitlement that you feel you should have, but in actuality the developers will decide whether it fits and should be implemented. Bungie decided it didn't so it wasn't.
