Character migration from Beta to Full game
Seriously...seriously... Bungie needs to make it a given that the characters we have been using in Beta are to continue with us in the full version of the game!
I will find it (and many others i am am sure) very annoying that I:
- will have to build up my character all over again in full game
- will have to redo the same levels/missions again as is in the full game. That would be soooo boring!
Yes...yes...this is beta and it is for testing. But, u guys r Bungie...Be Inovative...COME ON!!

I wouldn't mind having the carry over, if it happens cool. Of not, well I can still sleep at night, however it would be nice if the items in the vault carried over. Of not then why have it as an option at all in the beta.

2 RepliesI don't care if they transfer characters over, or your level, or anything like that. I prefer it without them anyway. But at least let us keep the legendary items we spent hard hours on acquiring. And no, I'm not talking about that hand cannon, I never knew of it anyway until I read some forums. I'm talking about the purely cosmetic stuff like the iron banner bonds, cloaks and marks. For someone who isn't too good at the crucible (me and plenty others I'm sure) those weren't the easiest things to get. So in my case all I want is my iron banner cloak, everything else can be reset I don't care.

I disagree. If they move them over you will not get any of the level past 8. Everything you worked for would have to be rest and you will go back many hours. Plus they would have to save everything for you thats a lot of space taken on there and have to work around it.

7 RepliesAnd many of us would find it annoying to be stuck with the characters we have. The beta is for experimentation. No one thought it would carry over, no one planned for it. I'd certainly make some different decisions. Also, wasn't the leveling accelerated?

I would like to keep my character, anyone wanting a wipe doesnt make sense... U can just start a new character if u want to do things differently... Mainly for getting past the early tutorial type lessons... Its not un common for game betas to carry over to game. I am pretty sure they will.

It's a [b]BETA[/b] ! It doesn't make sense to do a character carry over to the actual game. It's just plain laziness... be a man and start from scratch

8 RepliesDisagree completely. For one it would obviously be unfair. Second it really doesn't take that much time to reach where we have in beta. Not to mention it's a beta so for all we know they could add content that you'd miss because you started the game at lvl 8.

What about the guys who played the Alpha? They didn't get their characters for the Beta. I feel like starting over would be a good thing. However, I do feel we should AT LEAST keep the Glimmer and weapons we earned.

2 RepliesWell, if they're giving out Legendary Lv20 Pistols like that one a guy won in Iron Banner, i'd say they will carry over. Why would they give you a prize you couldn't use? :/

3 RepliesHonestly, these topics are useless. Bungie has already said they weren't going to do it, and they have no obligation to do so. You chose to play the beta, which is merely meant to test. Never was there any indication that progress would carry over. Everyone is going to lose stuff, but so what? If you enjoyed the game, replaying the missions should not be that big of a deal. The full game is going to have less accelerated leveling (something put in for the Beta), and many things are likely to be different. Thus, there is no point in asking for this, it isn't happening.

2 RepliesI have gotten every guardian level 8 maxed out and so many legendary weapons and rare weapons and a lot of glimmer and crucible ranks and vanguard ect. I WANT it to carry over. I don't want all that time to be wasted.

2 RepliesNo thanks, this is beta and I highly doubt all the missions will be the same. Who is the guy talking to us when we go to the devils lair and kill sepiks prime? there seems to be a lot of story missed out. Just stop playing and give actual testing feedback

1 ReplySay when the full game comes out there are now new character customization options. It would be unfortunate if you couldn't access them because your character was pre-made by your past self.

7 Replies1. The gear you have now is crap compared to what you'll have at lvl 15 2. Why would you want to start the full game at lvl 8? You would be basically halfway to the cap and that wouldn't be fun. 3. If anything gets transfered I think it would be the grimoire score. Just my thoughts
