I agree at least carry over the character build (not level) and the gear we store and the gear we are wearing goes to the storage as well.

Why keep the items where you won't be able to use them anyways...

Because like you my friend I'm sure you have put some good hours into playing the beta and collecting some pretty good equipment, but it's not just that I'm sure like the character too, yeah yeah I know it's a beta test but to get to keep our first made character and level him up to be able to use the gear you collected is like a guardians training to push back the darkness!!
