I just want to see MC return in Spartan Ops some how.

I'd absolutely love to hear the justification for revenge being "out of character" for Halsey. It really isn't, and those who are saying it is are either completely ignoring what she's done in the past or simply don't know it. First of all, we'll start with her journal. ONI shut down the Spartan-II Program and shut Halsey away in CASTLE Base on Reach, in her journal she states that she was planning on getting [b][u]revenge[/b][/u] against them by refusing their offer to transfer her to New Alexandria so their agents would have to submit themselves to security checks whenever they wanted to talk to her. The fact that she wanted revenge over something that seemed so trivial shows it's absolutely not out of character at all for her to want her shot at payback when she's had to have her whole arm removed to save her life because they ordered her execution, [i]regardless[/i] of whether she's playing Jul or not. Ackerson ringing any bells? She looked for an excuse for ages to get rid of him and her opportunity for [b][u]revenge[/b][/u] was fulfilled when Ackerson tried to hijack the integration of Cortana with John's armour, as she filed an official complaint against him suggesting that he'd suffered a mental breakdown and should be left to rot in a prison for the rest of his life. And for those arguing that 343's presentation of her is nothing like the books, her override of Roland's functions was a clear call-back to when she did the same to Ackerson's AI Araquiel when she used a line of code to access his fail-safe and deactivated him. Absolutely [i]nothing[/i] about Halsey thus-far has been even remotely out of character. She reveals that she wants nothing more than knowledge, to know everything - we see this [i]all the time[/i] in the novels where she becomes frustrated when she can't work something out or is beaten. She keeps information to herself, she holds admiration for her Spartans and disdain for the new 'models' (as she did in Ghosts of Onyx when she constantly scrutinised the Spartan-IIIs and in Reach where she criticised Noble Team). Nothing about Halsey herself has changed, what has changed is the perception that other characters have towards her. The Human-Covenant war is over, she's no longer vital to humanity's survival which means that the actions she's committed are seen in a different light by others. Get this shit in your head, some of you are just spouting utter nonsense.

I'm more shocked by the [spoiler]destruction of Requiem[/spoiler]. I thought that would be a major plot point within the full game rather than Spartan Ops, seeing as there are some people who don't play online or who may not have been able to download the second half of the season. I mean, where does this leave us for Halo 5 or Season Two? As for Halsey? [spoiler]While revenge does seem out of character, wouldn't you react the same way if you were pushed hard enough? You've been arrested for war crimes and treated like dirt for years. You are forced to travel to the Infinity, a ship you helped build, as a prisoner more than a guest. Secrets are kept from you regarding your last known Spartan-II, with whom you have a bond. Then a Spartan-IV is sent to assassinate you - the ultimate insult for the creator of the Spartan programme - and you lose an arm as a result. While bionics are clearly an option, you're naturally going to want a bit of payback.[/spoiler]

She's got a right to be angry, but I bet she'll just manipulate Jul.

Halsey's just playing Jul. She gains absolutely nothing by betraying the UNSC, except of course the loss of any and all scientific progress made in the last millenia. So she plays her his game and bids her time until she can get back to safety.

Well, that seems reaaaally out of character for her. She always seemed to me at least, to try and place petty things like that out of the way. Then again, can't really say I blame her, considering she got put on the scapegoat side of things. I don't think she's out to steamroll the UNSC, just ONI and Osman. But this practically sets the stage for 5, and makes me wonder if John at some point ends up confronting her and has to choose sides. Speaking of which, I'll insert the obligitory "Halo is CoD" thing in. Since Elites in the Storm are considered Terrorists, I'm just waiting for the entire next campaign for us to be chasing down the big Terrorist bad guy.
